Please excuse any medical stuff that's wrong. Google was my source and idk how accurate it all is.
Also, I used Fitz from the beginning of season 2 as a bit of inspiration, so if you've watched agents of shield, then you'll know what I mean.
Always, this turned out to be a lot long then intended, but here you go. I kinda hate this but whatever.
I am working on the requests I have received, so expect those to be coming out next.

The whole process was a blur. I remember waking up and practically throwing up water with Natasha and Yelena hovering over me. Then I remember being drowsy, and then everything gets fuzzy.
Paramedics had arrived a few moments later, rushing around me with all their gear. I remember being lifted onto a stretcher and then brought into the bright lights of the ambulance.
Yelena stayed with me, holding my hand and being there so she could answer the paramedics' questions about what happened.
"Can you tell me your name?" one of the paramedics asked me, pulling out his gear to start analyzing me as we drove down the beach, sirens blaring.
My brain felt hazy, like it was stuck in slow motion. My words weren't forming as quickly as normal, but I was too out of it to realize that that was probably bad.
"Y/n. Their name is y/n." Yelena chimed in, noticing my trouble speaking.
"What happened?" he asked, this time glancing between Yelena and I while taking my blood pressure.
"We were going to dive off the cliff into the water, but when we were trying to figure out who was going to go first, we uh..." Yelena started, still holding my hand while the paramedic nodded along, still focused on taking my blood pressure. "We didn't know she couldn't swim."
The paramedic seemed to understand where the story was heading as he just nodded before taking off the thing he had used for my blood pressure.
"Y/n, are you experiencing any chest pains or nausea?" he asked, placing a gentle hand on my chest and pressing on it slightly.
All I could really bring myself to do was nod, my head was so dizzy that it felt like if I spoke, I would start to vomit.
"How long were they in the water?" he asked, turning to look at Yelena while prepping something out of my view.
"Maybe three or four minutes? I'm not entirely sure. It took us a few minutes before we realized they weren't surfacing." Yelena replied, still sporting her trademark frown.
After that question is where things went blurry. If the paramedics or Yelena asked me anything, I have no idea what it was. Next thing I remember was waking up in a hospital bed in a panic.
Yelena's POV
Natasha had agreed to meet us there at the hospital, but I was honestly regretting that decision.
Y/n passed out so suddenly in the back of the ambulance and I don't think I have ever felt more guilty than in that moment. The gravity of what I had really caused was starting to set in I think when the paramedic mentioned something about y/n suffering brain damage from oxygen deprivation. This was all my fault. Y/n was injured and it was all my fault.
I should have listened to her when she told us "no."
"Y/n?" I asked, my voice shaking from nerves, afraid of what I had done to my girlfriend. "Love, wake up, please."
