Maya had been pacing around the apartment for a while when her wife walked in. She had a furrowed brow and seemed to be talking to herself. She was so deep in thought that she hadn't heard the Italian woman enter.

- "Do you want to sit on the couch?" She said in a soft, calm voice.

- "how do you do that?"

- "to?"

- "calm me down like this in three seconds"

They had gone to sit on the couch.

Maya had picked up the box of tissues and put it on the couch between her.

-"It's promising..."

- "I know you, I'd rather plan ahead."

- "okay..."

And I did that race even though I told him I was too tired... He told me I shouldn't have revised so late. Like I had a choice... As if I could have revised earlier, in any case I fell on the ten thousand meter track, two hundred meters from the finish, I was in the lead and then nothing. He was furious. My knees were bleeding. He didn't even take me to the hospital to see if I had anything. When I fell, I caught myself with my hands and broke my wrist. The school nurse had me taken to the hospital the following Monday.
