The day after the party at Grey Sloan, Maya was on cloud nine, she who had so often dreamed of making love with Carina in her office, even before she knew they were engaged, had finally been able to realize her fantasy.

She was in her office thinking about that moment, while chewing on the end of her pen, her eyes lost in the vague.

After knocking several times on the door, Andy finally came in, seeing that Maya was not answering.

- "hey are you okay?"

- "huh?" Maya said as she snapped out of her trance

-"I allowed myself to come in, I was banging around for a minute."

- "Yes, I figured you were very focused, or with headphones on... But you don't have your eyes on your files..."

- "very good thoughts by the look of your pen..."

Maya looked at her pen and put it back in her drawer.

- "Do you think I'll get my memory back?"

- "you didn't start..."

- "no, but really, entirely."

- "I don't know, why?"

- "my life seems too... Perfect. Have you seen my fiancée? And I'm a captain... When that should be your job..."

- "Maya you fought for. And Sullivan gave it to you. You didn't steal anything from me... You went behind my back... Sure, but hey... If I'm not captain, I'd just as soon it was you."

- "do you really mean it?"

-"I promise. And Maya your life isn't perfect. You have crappy parents. You didn't have a teenager. You cheated on Carina..."

- "heyyyyy! Are you trying to cheer me up or ..."

-"What I'm trying to show you Maya, is that your life seems perfect but you're lucky that Carina was so in love with you, that she forgave you, you were supposed to get married and instead you got amnesia... Your life is not perfect Maya, but you are learning to make the right choices. And you are an excellent captain."

- "okay, you're making points..."

-"Your life is not just about your fiancée and your job... You've been through a lot to get here. Maybe more than some of us here. So no your life is not perfect, but you are doing everything to make your future perfect, and that's the main thing, you can't change the past. You can only strive to make the future better."

- "you are wise Andy Herrera"

- "Lieutenant Andy Herrera!"

- "future captain Andy Herrera"

- "I want your barracks"

- "and I your husband's job"
