'The moment our lips met, I knew I would remember it forever...'

Maya's tests were good. It was as if her coma was a security, a barrier that her body had put up, so as not to suffer.

It was during the third week that, on the Glasgow coma scale, her coma had gone from a encouraging level. Carina had cried for hours. She was so relieved. Maya was still in a coma, but she was out of it.

After several examinations and several days at this stage, Amelia had decided to remove the tube, which allowed the blonde to breathe on her own.

Carina, along with Chief Bailey and Dr. Shepherd, were on tenterhooks, waiting to see if Maya started breathing on her own.

- "Why isn't anything happening?" Carina asked

- "Give her time" replied Amelia

- "no but she ..."

-Carina..." Miranda said, running her hand down her back as the tears began to well up.

While a tear had finally left his eye, to come to die on his cheek, the Italian had caught the hand of his fiancée.
Perhaps because of the contact of their hands together, the blonde had then started to breathe by herself.

The brunette had then in her turn let out a breath, that she didn't know how to hold, as relieved.
Her tears had flowed once more, drowning cheeks, as well as her fiancée's hand, as she knelt down, next to her, her head on her hand, looking at her.

Amelia had then approached and had passed her hand on the shoulder of the Italian.
She was also relieved. She had gone out and announced, to her friend, that she would return in about twenty minutes, the time to give the Italian, time to recover from her emotions. Dr. Bailey had followed the steps of Shepherd and had also left after having shaken affectionately the hand of the brunette.

- "bambina, wake up." Carina whispered against her fiancée's lips.

It had been three weeks since she had been able to place her lips on those of her future wife. After speaking, she had sealed them together.
Unfortunately, Maya wasn't Sleeping Beauty or Snow White and she wasn't Prince Charming, who was going to free her from her sleep.

One of his tears left his cheek to come to run on that of his fiancée.

-"you know... I will never forget our first kiss... Even if it wasn't meant to last between us... At least for you. My eye, me, had immediately drawn to this blonde, who had run into a hospital, wearing a nose in a plastic bag."

/Flashback/

Maya had come to visit the Italian in the hospital and had offered her a coffee. To thank her for JJ.
They had been drinking while talking and as it was already late, Carina had gone back to change. Once the brunette came out of the changing room, the blonde was still in front, waiting for her.

- "Are you doing anything tonight?"

- "I have to go out, with some doctors... friends"

- "to hit up?"

- "maybe who knows... But I would like to get to know you better."
The blonde raised an eyebrow and looked at Carina's lips.

- "Is there anyone in there?" she asked.

- "no there was only me, why--"

She had not had time to finish her sentence, that Maya had opened the door of the changing room, had taken the hand of Carina and had drawn it in, by taking care that nobody sees them. She had then closed the door and had plated the Italian against, to come to deposit her lips on his.
