Maya had filed a complaint, but had asked that her process take place at the same time as the prosecutor's trial. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it. And both Lane and his accomplice pleaded guilty, so as not to go to court.

Lane was sentenced to 8 years in prison, 6 of which were suspended, for harassment and endangerment of life, with premeditation. Charles was sentenced to 9 years, two of which were suspended, for the same charges and also for hitting Maya and leaving her at the point of death.

A restraining order had also been requested, and when they were released from prison, Lane and her foal would not be allowed to approach the blonde, and even though Maya did not know it, neither did the brunette.

The Italian had come again in the room Maya while this one slept.

Carina thought back to when Maya had woken up. That they had crossed paths and... Nothing had really happened. She was actually thinking about a night that had happened, a few days after they had crossed paths, a few times.
