Alana
I stared out the window with tears in my eyes. I cried silently and lightly to hold back from a dramatic scene. I put on my headphones and listened to music. Music is my therapy. It helped me through the names people called me at school. They weren't terrible names but they sure weren't nice. Before I knew it, I doze off and fell asleep with my blanket on me and my music playing.

I moved from Texas to Chicago four years ago. I live with my parents who have given me my dream. They believe in me. Sadly dreams come with a price. I left Texas leaving behind memories and a great friend. Me and Alana spent everything together. Today she is moving to Nevada. She told me last night she didn't want to leave behind memories but I told her that moving might be the best thing for her. She isn't the type to go out and try to make new friends. She tried a few times, but only once did it work. She made a friend named Rebecca. Rebecca died last year in a car crash. A drunk driver hit her and her car flipped. She died on impact. This brought a toll on Alana that created her the way she is today. She holds on to everything. Little memories of me and her life when her parents were nicer. Her parents don't abuse her, they just don't use the right words sometimes. Alana makes pretty good grades and she is the sweetest person you could ever meet. I don't care if she is miles away or centimeters away, I would do anything for her. She always has my back and I will always have hers.

I woke up to the voice of the pilot telling the passengers that we were 10 minutes to landing. I took of my head phones but left the blanket on me. I looked out the window to welcome my new home. It isn't Texas. It is nice and beautiful, but it isn't my old neighborhood. I will try for my parents and I to get to know Nevada before judging it. So far as I can see, I might like it.
My parents and I hop in a car and drive off to our new home. It is a nice home. I help take boxes out of the car. I take my boxes and put them in my room that I picked out. It is a room with a walk in closet and small vanity connected with a bathroom. It's just like my old room. I star unpacking clothes and my make up. Then I star unpacking pictures and posters. Thankfully this house is furnished. I have a nice full bed with a dresser, nightstand, and a small window bed. My window gives a great view of the front yard. My window also opens up for when I want fresh air. I put on the sheets, covers and pillowcases on my bed with a few stuffed animals. I hear a knock on my door followed by my mom walking in.
"Hey honey. Why don't you go by the music store. Here's some money and be careful. It's down a few streets down. Dad will send you the address." she said. I thanked her and took the money. I started walking and finally received a text from my dad. I followed the directions and my walk ended up being short. I walked in and went to find Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce The Veil. I came across an Escape The Fate album and decided to buy it. I continued my search when I bumped into a talk figure with short brown hair and dark brown eyes. "sorry there." I apologized. "It's cool! My name is Andy. I haven't seen you around. Are you new?" The boy who happens to be Andy said. "My name is Alana and I just moved here today actually and my parents gave me money to go look around town." I said staring in his dark brown eyes. I have dark brown eyes too, but he has mystery in them. "Well if you need a friend or anything, here's my number." he handed me his number and I took it politely. Andy looked at the music I had and said, "I'm glad there is someone who shares a similar music taste as me." I laughed and noticed he wasn't holding music that was anything like mine. "You have rap music in your hands right now." He hesitated and chuckled nervously. " These are for a friend. This isn't for me. Well I better get going. See you around...." he paused signaling that he forgot my name. "Alana." I giggled responding to him. "Alana. What a PRETTY name" He stared at me and smiled lightly. I saw Andy walk to the cashier to pay for his music. I stayed behind and looked around a bit more before paying and beginning my journey back home. Today wasn't too bad.
