Birthday Party

Luke

It's Alana's birthday today and I am so excited. Ashton is going to buy the food. We're having Mexican food. I have a friend that told me about this Mexican restaurant that is really good and Alana told me she likes this kind of food. Calum is buying candy,chips, and drinks. I am setting up my house for the little party. Cal also called Michael to see if he was going to come. He is and I don't know if Alana would be ok with it. Her and Michael talked to each other and they are on good terms. I don't k ow if Cal told Michael about me and Alana though.

Alana and I have been going on dates offten. We have really gotten close. She has also gotten pretty close to Ash and Cal too. They're like family to her. Speaking of family, Alana hasn't told me about her family. She says that it's co.plicated. I undertand that she doesn't want to talk about it. I wont make her talk about something that is uncomfortable for her.

Alana dropped out of school because Adrian and Andy went too far. They beat her up for missing so many days at school. She had to go to the hospital. She was released the day she entered. She was beaten and left to bleed to death. I found her and took her to the hospital. The next few days she just stopped going to school. Tomorrow she is officially going to drop out. She doesn't deserve what she gets.

It's 11 am now and I finnished the decorations. Ashton showed up with the food and placed them on the table. I ran to the jewlry store to pick up Alana's gift. Along with the necklace,I made her a mixtape of me singing and playing guitar. The boys bought her some new clothes. Michael hasn't told us what he is getting her. I just hope he doesn't mess this day up.

Cal showed up with the chips and set them on the counters. Alana should be getting off of work fight now so she should be home soon. Everything is perfect.

Alana

I am let off of work and walk to Luke's. He said there would be a surprise waiting for me when I get back. Does he even know it's my birthday?

I am at the corner of Luke's street and I see someone I haven't seen in a while. Michael. "Hey there." I say nervously. He chuckles and hugs me. We hug for a while and I don't know how to describe it. Maybe it's because I've missed him, but it just feels like hugging a best friend that you haven't seen in years and you are reconnecting. "Happy birthday Alana!" He kisses my forehead and it hits me. He doesn't know I'm dating Luke. "Thanks. What are you doing out here?" I ask him. We start walking together. "I'm going to Luke's. I can't tell you what for though. Sorry. So how was work?" He asked and I laugh. "You change subjects so wuickly." He laughs then we stop walking and he looks i n my eyes. We look into each other's eyes for a while then he asks the big question no one has asked me, "How have you been Alana?"I want to tell him the truth. I want to tell him all that I'm feeling, but I can't. It will make things awkward and I'm dating Luke. Luke and I love each other. "I'm great Michael. Thanks for asking. How have you been?" I say cheerfully. He cups my cheeks and says, "I know you're lying and it's my fault. I understand if you found someone else, but I want you to know that I am going to fix everything. I am going to fix wverything between us. The space between us is killing me. I miss you next to me. I want you back Alana. I really do." He kisses me softly. I don't know what to think. I push him away softly and begin to say, "Michael, I-" I was cut off my Calum yelling for us to get inside. I didn't even know that we were i fromt of Luke's house. I hope no one saw that.

Michael

I kissed her. She didn't kiss back, but that's ok. I understand. I hope she will at least think about what I said to her.

We walk into Luke's house and Alana was surprised and looked so happy. We all shouted 'happy birthday' and we started to eat while music played. We all danced at ate and laughed and it was really fun.

Ashton brought out the cake and it was a long sheet of chocolate cake covered with white frosting and purple flowers. In the center the cake said, "Happy Birthday Alana!" She blew out her candles and we all got a big slice of cake.

"C'mon guys! Let's give Alana her presents!" Cal yelled and Alana said, "you guys shouldn't have gotten anything. This was enough." Calum gave her a box filled with cute dresses and shoes to match. Alana hugged him and thanked him. Ashton gave her another box filled with band shirts and some music. She ran over to him and they hugged. She is so cute and I love to see her happy. Luke gave her a mixtape of music and played her a song he wrote for her and she cried. Luke then stood up and handed her a small box. I got nervous. What if it's similar to my gift? "It's from all of us Alana. Cal, Ash, Michael, and I." Luke said she looked at us and smiled at me.

She oppened the small box to reveal a necklace with a heart. "Awwww! It ha all of your names on it! I love it guys!" Alana said hugging each of us. She put the necklace on and couldn't stop smiling. I knew nothing about the necklace until yesterday when Ash told me. I was relieved that they put my name on there too. I stood up and handed Alana a small box. "This is from me, and I hope you love it. I saw it and I thought you might like it." I say to her. She oppened it and her hand covered her mouth. "Oh my God! It's beautiful Michael! "

Thank God she liked it. She stands up and hugs me and I hug back. I miss this. Her in my arms. I know I messed up, but I need her. I will give up anything just to be with her again. I love her, truly I do.

All the boys look at me and Luke stares at me like he's gonna kill me. I don't know what his problem is, but he needs to put it aside for Alana.

Alana and I seperate from our hug and I feel empty. She goes back and sits next to Luke and that's when the thiught comes to my mind. Are they together?
