Some time passed since the whole Changeling incident where we all sort of lost our minds, and springtime was slowly coming to an end and summer is just around the corner. During that time, we all celebrated Sting's birthday and a few other birthdays together, and of course, like all guild mages, everyone went on a bunch of fun missions, either alone or with their teams, and earned a ton of money during this time.
Today, Sting and I had decided to take a day off from the guild to stay home and clean our house. This house hasn't been cleaned for a while, and things were starting to pile up and become scattered all over. The dirty dishes were stacked and just sitting in the sink for the past couple of days, clothes carelessly thrown on the chair, sofa, and other furnitures, dust bunnies infesting the small crevices around the house and irritating my airways, it was just about time my inner neat freak burst. Unfortunately, Lector won't be joining us today since he promised Frosch a little playdate and shopping trip around Crocus, so they're out having some fun while we make sure the house is pristine and clean once he comes home.
"So what should we start with?" Sting asked as he braided my hair into two simple braids and let them dangle down my back.
"I guess we can start with the kitchen. We should do the dishes and clean out the fridge," I suggested and he nodded.
"I can do the dishes, so you can start emptying the fridge."
"Don't make it sound like I'm gonna eat everything inside."
"You talk as if that's not gonna happen," Sting chuckled, making me pout at the likely reality, "You're so cute." He kissed my temple and led me to the kitchen where our cleaning adventure began. While I took everything out of the fridge, Sting slowly turned on the water, messing around with the soap a little before finally scrubbing down a dish.
"Oooh, ice cream... Now, where did you come from, baby~?" I licked my lips and pulled the delicious tub of chocolate ice cream out of the freezer, enjoying a brain freezing taste of the snack in my arms. An excited squeal escaped my lips the moment the rich chocolate flavor exploded in my mouth, filling me with utmost bliss. Is this what heaven tastes like?
"And you're not gonna invite me? I'm hurt~," Sting whispered in my ear seductively as his strong arms snaked around my waist and his sharp chin pressed down on my shoulder.
"Open," I held the spoon up to his mouth and he gladly took a bite.
"Having chocolate once in a while isn't bad."
"You mean it's absolutely amazing?" I chuckled and ran my fingers through his hair a little before Sting reached into the freezer to pull out his half eaten tub of vanilla ice cream to join me, the two of us taking a mini snack break to finish our ice creams; we barely started and we're already distracted...
"I'll finish up the kitchen so you should go start on the bedroom," Sting said.
"Yeah, there's a lot of laundry we need to do," I chuckled and gathered all of the random clothes scattered in the living room before doing the same in the bedroom. After separating clean, wearable clothes from dirty laundry, I emptied our closet and started reorganizing everything by style and color; I'm pretty sure this is quite obvious by now, but although this is Sting's closet, most of the clothes in this thing belong to me... I guess he uses the drawers more than I do, but all of the hangers usually go to my clothes instead of his. Well, I do feel bad that I'm taking up all his space, especially with my plushies, stationery and art supplies, but he keeps telling me to not worry about it, so I guess that puts me at ease a little.
