The sun began to rise, marking the end of the first day in this horrendous war. People were starting to return to the guildhall, many covered in blood and severe wounds.
"Are you okay? Shouldn't you rest more?" Levy asked and I shook my head. I've rested for far too long compared to everyone else; I'll feel terrible if I lay down any longer.
"Good work out there everyone," Master Mavis sighed in relief as everyone seemed to make it back alive. Kinana immediately started tending the injured, while Lucy and Cana locked the captured Spriggan 12 member in our guild's underground prison. The Thunder Legion were all rushed to Ms. Porlyusica's care, and we were more than relieved to hear that they'll all live, including Mr. Ichiya.
"It should be better now that the other guilds are willing to help us, right?" someone cheered.
"No.... This is Fairy Tail's issue. I really wanted to keep the other guilds out of our mess...." the First sighed.
"You're not gonna get anything done with that goody-two-shoes attitude of yours," Laxus growled, "More than anything, all I care about is getting back at the guy that attacked Freed's team."
"I must agree. This battle is taking place in Ishgar, not Magnolia alone. Ishgar is everyone else's home as well; it's their right to protect it," I added.
"They're right. We should be grateful for any help we receive," grandpa agreed, "Warren, what's the situation?"
"We got news from the east! A-Almost every guild in Bosco has been wiped out!" Warren announced. Such news shocked us all and sent chills down our spine.
"E-Every guild?!" Just how strong must the enemy be to defeat every single guild in an entire region of a country? Was one of the Spriggan 12 with them? The soldiers we fought against earlier weren't too strong; they just had a numerical advantage, so there's no way soldiers alone wiped out all of those guilds... right?
"It's unsure if their goal is to conquer Bosco, but they've at least stopped advancing for now," Warren explained, "Also good news! Blue Pegasus and Sabertooth will defend against the army from the north! Mermaid Heel and Lamia Scale will try to take back Hargeon Port in the south!"
"Then, we just have to handle the east and west!"
"Still, there's no guarantee that the north and south will win..."
"Come on! Have some faith in them!"
"No, he has a point. Our enemies are stronger than any other before. Even with two guilds stationed at each end, there's no guarantee that they'll actually win. Although the four guilds that will be guarding the north and south are some of Fiore's strongest, all the guilds in Bosco were defeated. We shouldn't have our hopes up," I stated, "First Master, we should help them, right?"
"Of course," the First agreed, "Mirajane, Elfman, Lisanna, Gajeel, Lily, Levy, and Levina. Your team will head to the north. Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Carla, and Laxus will go south."
"Good. I finally get to arrest Saber," Gajeel smirked. Um.... What? Why?
"You're missing the point, Gajeel," Lily sighed.
"Wait, where is Natsu anyway?" Gray asked, stirring the guild into panic at the Salamander's disappearance. People frantically called out the fire dragon's name and ran around searching for him, only to find that he's nowhere in the guildhall.
"I believe in Natsu! Please let me go in his place!" Erza volunteered.
"Erza, you should be resting!" Carla scolded.
