[VALENTINE'S SPECIAL] The "Ideal" Boyfriend

February 14, Valentine's Day. This holiday is a special day for lovers, and every year, couples all around the world do something extra special to celebrate this day of love. Of course, I'm no different. Earlier this morning, I had a perfect date planned for my little Bean and I to go on, but just as I was about to go over my plans with her, she went off with M'Lady and Yukino, doing god knows what.

And thus, I am now left alone to sign papers with my killjoy of a partner, Rogue. And on Valentine's Day too.

A sigh escaped my lips as I laid my head down on the stack of unsigned papers I was supposed to be working on, occasionally giving the guild kitchen a glance. Seeing that the girls won't be exiting that place anytime soon caused another sigh to come out.

"Would you stop sighing already? You're annoying," Rogue said monotonously, his bloodshot eyes were filled with annoyance.

"But I'm so bored~ What is she doing? She's taking so long," I whined, sighing again.

"Shut up. You're so clingy," he rolled his eyes.

"But it's Valentine's Day! Shouldn't she be hanging out with me instead?"

"She clearly made plans with the girls first, so that sounds like a you problem for not asking her in advance."

"Shut up. You're not helping," I pouted and sloppily signed the paper in front of me with yet another sigh.

"What's up with all the sighing, Sting? Where's your Princess?" Orga asked as he and Rufus approached our table.

"I thought you said you and Levina were gonna go on a date," Rufus added.

"I know! But she had plans with Yukino and M'Lady, so she went off with them!" I puffed out my cheeks in annoyance.

"Oh dear, now he's sulking," Orga teased. "You said you were gonna ask her out on a date, but how did you plan on doing that? Any special event for the special day?"

"Uh, no? Do I need to?" I asked.

"Wha-! Do you need to?! Of course, you do! It's Valentine's!" he gasped. "No wonder she preferred to go hang out with the girls instead..."

"What was that?"

"No, seriously, bro." Orga put a hand on my shoulder. "If you keep using your usual lame-ass tactics, it's about time the Princess gets bored. Think about it, even a snarky ice queen like her would love a special event every now and then, and Valentine's Day is the perfect day to get it, except! You haven't been doing anything super special on Valentine's and have been treating the day like any of your other dates. Of course, she'd be disappointed."

W-What...? I felt the panic fill me. W-What if she really has been expecting something grand all this time...? What if she's really disappointed and is currently trash talking me to the girls?! No way... right?!

"Ah, you broke him," Rufus chuckled and Rogue clicked his tongue.

"But, hey, you're in luck. It's Valentine's today, so take this chance while she's with the girls to plan something special for her." Orga suddenly wrapped an arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry, friend, we'll help you win over your girl again."

"W-Win over...? S-She's still my girlfriend though..."

"Oh, don't sweat the small stuff. Do you want our help or not?"

"Yes, please. My life depends on this."

"Y-Your life...? That's a bit drastic, don'tcha think?" He blinked a couple times before clearing his throat. "Anyways, first off, what kind of guys is she into? Maybe you can take this chance to become her ideal man."
