Some time passed since our guild held the food festival, and for some odd reason, Sting was still as round as he was after the eating contest, not that I minded since he's extra snuggly like this.
"Why are you still like that? Shouldn't all your food be digested by now?" Orga stifled a laugh.
"Shaddap! I don't know either!" Sting growled as a light blush tinted his squishy cheeks.
"This is why you learn to control yourself, fatass," Rogue smirked.
"You-!" Before another fight could break out between the two, I stepped in between them to forcibly break their argument. Nonetheless, Sting was still standing behind me, one hand gripping my shoulder tightly and the other angrily pointing at his shadow counterpart. Of course, Sting wasn't the only childish one as Rogue was also making aggressive, provocative eyebrow movements back at Sting. I could only sigh at the situation, wondering how it is that the three of us are actually the same age.
"You should hurry up and go back to being a pretty boy otherwise the princess might leave 'ya," Orga joked.
"Just how shallow do you think I am?" I rolled my eyes, "I'm not gonna leave him just because he looks different."
"But you're disappointed."
"Why would I be? We've been together for so long, appearance hardly matters at this point."
"So it did matter at one point," Rufus chuckled.
"Well, something's gotta catch my initial attention, right?" I laid my head on the wooden table as Sting glommed me from behind, giving my cheek and temple a few smooches. "And you, is there a reason you're boring holes into me? I know I'm pretty, but it's getting kinda creepy."
"I was wondering why you looked different today. Turns out it's just your clothes," Orga continued to eye me up and down, fully taking note of my change in style. Today, I decided to wear a reddish-pink dress inspired by traditional eastern clothing instead of my usual neutral-toned western style ones; it was a dress that Ms. Minerva and Yukino had picked out for me on our last shopping trip, so I thought I'd wear it, but now that Orga had called me out on it, I suddenly don't feel like wearing this anymore.
"... I'm changing out of this."
"What why?! You look good!"
"It's because you commented on it."
"??????"
Laughter spread throughout the guildhall at our nonsensical squabble, as people started to settle into their daily routines again. I rejoined Sting and Lector after grabbing us some snacks and the three of us began to sort through the various stacks of job requests that've been piling up after a few days of negligence. Ever since I joined Sabertooth, I've noticed that a lot of the jobs that have been sent to the guild are from former Fairy Tail clients who had no choice but to request for another guild now that Fairy Tail is gone. Oh how time really flies; it's been nearly a year since the guild disbanded already. It's been an eventful and, most definitely, memorable year, and I've come to really love my life here at Sabertooth. Of course, spending more time with Sting and Lector and living with them is the best part, but aside from that, I feel like I've grown closer to some of the members here and truly have people I can confidently call friends now. I'm actually... really happy here.
"It's not like you to zone out like that. What are you thinking?" Sting asked, bringing my attention back to the papers in front of us.
"Nothing much. It's just.. I was just thinking about how much I like it here. Everyday is really fun and I feel like I'm truly enjoying myself here, so thanks for letting me be a part of such a great guild."
