The next morning came before I even got a chance to feel rested. Like usual, the bright sunlight forced me awake earlier than I intended to, and my constant shifting under the sheets also caused Sting and Lector to wake up.

"You're up....?" Sting groaned and pulled me closer to his chest.

"Yeah... Sorry, did I wake you?" I mumbled, not wanting to get up just yet, especially since he's going back today.

"No..... I'm going back to sleep...." And just like that, he went silent again. I guess I should go back to sleep too; it's not like I can move like this anyways, so I might as well get some more rest.

"Wake up... It's almost nine," Lector said as he tried to shake us awake with his cute little paws.

"You wake up too early, Lector..." Sting whined. As if preplanned, my communication lacrima started flashing and ringing the moment Sting pulled the blanket over his head.

"... Who's calling at this hour...?" I groaned and flopped my hand over Sting's body, trying to tap the lacrima on, "... Hello....?"

"You're still in bed?" Evergreen's voice asked from the other line.

"Yes... Why are you calling so early in the morning?" I asked.

"Early? People normally wake up at nine, you know," she said, making me sigh, "We're all about to go on a job, so you wanna come with us?"

"Sure... What job is it?"

"You'll see when you get here. Hurry up or we'll leave without you." Before I could say anything else, the line cut off, making me groan once more. I forgot how mom-like Ever can be sometimes. At least she doesn't nag me as much as Laxus or Freed- actually I think she nags me more than Freed does...

"I guess we should wake up," Sting said and slowly sat up, allowing a few bones to crack satisfyingly. He carried me into the bathroom to get ready for the morning.

"It's cold outside, so wear a jacket," I said as I flipped through my closet, trying to find a high-collared long sleeve dress to cover up everything that happened last night as well as protect me from the cold.

"Looking for this?" Sting asked as the dress I was looking for swung on his finger, "You really don't have any long pants, do you?"

"I have some leggings and sweatpants," I said and grabbed the dress from his hands, "I don't like wearing long pants anyways; it's too stiff plus it covers my guild mark, so it's a hassle."

"You think that dress is long enough to cover... those?" Sting smirked. He's clearly enjoying this.

"And who's fault is that that they're even there in the first place?"

"You liked it though."

"That's not the point... Besides, no one will be looking at my inner thigh anyways, so who cares," I sighed and pulled the matching stockings up as high as possible.

"We'll see ourselves to the train station, so you can go to your guild; you wouldn't want to keep them waiting, right?" Sting said and threw on the blue jacket I gave him a while back; as expected, it suits him well.

"Yeah, sorry, I wanted to grab some brunch before you go back," I said and readjusted the jacket for him.

"It's okay. If you're any later, your brother might nag you again, so it's best if we avoid that, right?" he joked and kissed my forehead, "We'll be going now. See 'ya! Make sure to lock your doors!"
