[Chapter 4] Mother's Godson

I have no other choice but to follow him in there. His strength keeps on dragging me through his arm snaked around my shoulder.

Ang bigat niya. He acts like an inebriated person. Spare the gewang gewang. Pero patuloy pa rin siya sa pagbati sa mga taong dumadaan kahit na hindi pa niya kilala ang mga ito. First day palang niya kaya!

I shrug his arm off of me.

"Kailangan ba talagang akbayan mo'ko?" I asked him.

He just smirked. "Hindi. Pero gusto ko lang alam ng mundo na may first friend na ako sa school."

I rolled my eyes at him. "Sa itsura mong yan, sa tingin mo walang babaeng hindi gugustuhing maging kaibigan ka?"

He shrugged. "Alam ko naman na gwapo ako--"

"I did not say anything." I clarified.

"'Sa itsura'" he mocked my tone. "Your mouth spilled it itself."

Inirapan ko siya.

"Did I made it clear to you earlier?" I asked. "Ang sabi ko, okay na tayo and we can start over. But..." I slapped his arm away from my shoulder. It fell gently on his side. "I didn't say we are friends."

Sadness filled his face. "But we can be? Right?"

"Tss... After what you did?" I backed out. "Now, let me be, dude."

I was standing a few meters away from him when I heard a familiar voice from the back.

"Wren!"

I looked back and found Clay bro-hugging with Wren, patting their backs. He looked... happy?

He straightened up then saw me. "Hey! Rach!" he called.

I smiled at him then tried to turn my back. But as usual, I was so slow that he caught my arm once again.

"I believe my bestfriend just called you. You have to respond to someone's calls right?" he's gripping my arm tightly that I thought his grip stopped my blood from circulating.

Bestfriend? Tama ba pagkakarinig ko? So totoo nga?

I found the strength to shove his hand away then walked towards Clay.

"Did you saw Liesl?" I asked him.

"She's with your gay friend. Will, I suppose?" he answered.

I scowl at him. "He's not a freaking gay. Mukhang mas bakla pa nga kayo nitong..." I looked to Wren from his feet to his face. "Bestfriend mo."

"Aish." he said. "You gotta admit that my friend here is handsome." he snaked his arm around Wren's shoulder.

I shook my head as I scoffed. Parehas nga sila. Magbestfriend talaga sila.

"Assuming much?" I asked him.

He smirked. "Come. Sabay na muna kami ni Wren sa inyo. Sure akong gusto mong nakilala si Wren."

So yeah. I ended up seating between Will and Wren while eating recess. What irritate me more is the fact that his stares are so annoying. Nahuhuli ko siyang nakatitig sa'kin habang sumusubo ako ng yoghurt. Such a creep.

Liesl kept on laughing. Masayang masaya siyang kasama ni Clay. Nakaakbay pa nga ito sa kanya e.

I frowned when I saw a girl approached us. Nilandi niya si Wren. And Wren smiled back at her. Talagang sa harap pa namin maglalandian.
