Jason

My body jolted into a sitting position. My eyes fixed to the flashing lights and shadows clouding the ground. My breath was doing a zero to one hundred. I relaxed a bit, candy fireflies buzzed around the sky and over the stream, there dull rainbow colored lights flicked on as fast as they did off. The yellow sun was sinking over the horizon and I could only see a sliver of it as the scenery became darker and darker. As I got up, my head felt light, I had slept for an entire day, no questions asked and I felt like I was floating on air. I sighed, my voice was back to its normal me-like sound, which made me feel even better.

That's when everything hit me like a hurricane. The King, Kennan, weapons, and my friend's apparent dehydration. I stumbled back as my mind decided I needed even more stress. I fell back to a tree and shrunk, holding my knees and rocking myself. The sudden blow panicked me. I shivered.

I looked up at the fireflies and then remembered that I hadn't told the others about where I was. They were probably panicking as I sat there. I stood, slowly, not wanting to feel any more of anything.

A flash of bright grey light made me flinch and all the progress I had just made in standing up was suddenly gone.

"Oh, hi! Didn't think you were this far back..." The darkened figure bent over and pulled me up, laughing all the while, "How did you manage that? I thought you were the calm one. Have you found Jerome and Mitch yet? Well- you probably did. Do you need any help?" she asked me,I recounted the questions,

"I'm in a bit of a disarray. Yes we have found 'The Merome Squad.' Um..actually, help would be great. I need to find the others again, and bring water with me too, that'd be great." I stared at her outline as her wings fluttered when she laughed.

"Alright Jay, I'll help you out a bit. I can teleport water bottles to you weirdos, that should last, I can replace them every now and again. Sound good?" she asked,

"Sure! Thanks so much Kennan, I was almost afraid we would die of thirst or something..." I replied,

She snapped her fingers and a bright grey flash encased both of us, then suddenly the scenery changed completely. From trees and fireflies to lollipops and open skies.

"Holy shit!" Adam fell backwards at the sudden burst of light that happened right in front of him.

"Payback is nice." I stated as I choked on laughter.

"Oh my god, he's back!" Jerome jumped from his seat on the ground and threw his arms in the air.

"Yeah, Kennan found me. She says she can give us water too," I looked at her expectantly.

"Agh fiiine," Kennan snapped her fingers and each of us caught a water bottle with our eye color to tell the difference between them.I sighed and turned around to look at the rest of my friends faces. That's when I saw someone I didn't think I'd see.

"Well this is good." I stated blankly.
