“All right, all right, all right! Let’s get this show on the road! So all you have to do is follow this candy path of awesomeness and find you friends along the way! If you have any questions what-so-ever, just ring this.” Kennan handed me a gold bell with a red ribbon tied to it.
“What? I don’t want this! I’m not responsible!” I said as I tossed it to Adam.
“Me? Responsible? I’ll lose this thing in an hour, tops!” Adam tossed it to Ty and it hit him in the face.
“Ow! Fuck! Adam, why?” Ty yelled. He put the bell in his pocket. By this point in time I wasn’t even paying attention because I was on the ground laughing hysterically with Adam next to me and Kennan was flying about a foot in the air laughing loudly, it almost sounded like a Bodil laugh. Ty looked at us and shook his head.
“Wow, okay then, laugh at my pain, thanks.” Even though his voice didn’t give it away, he was trying to hold in a laugh, so hard that his eyes were watering.
“W-wow, okay, okay, okay, okay,” Kennan took a deep breath. “Weeeelllll, that happened.” she was smiling brightly. “So yeah, follow the path, meet your friends, have some fun, eat some candy. Oh and by the way, the path goes through candyland like the boardgame so first up is that massive-ass plum tree. Why is it a plum tree in a world of candy? I have no friggin clue. Anyways, see you~” And with that, she vanished.
“Well okay then,” I said bluntly. All four of us were smiling happily and just standing there, not doing anything until- “Um, guys...It’s turning night.” I said, slightly panicked at the fact that we have no idea if there are monsters here. I looked up at the slowly setting bright yellow sun in the darker pink sky. And I must say it was awesome looking. The sky was just about every color you could think of.
“We can’t sit here and wait for whatever it is out here to attack us, we gotta go!” Adam said. Wait, Adam? Being responsible? That’s new.
“Come on, lets go up one of these trees!” Jason said, somehow already at the trees and halfway up. Then I noticed he was hovering. Oh, right, he has a spacesuit on. So while Jason hovered up and cut into the leaves, Adam, Ty, and I climbed up the vine. When we were finally up their, Ty’s stomach growled.
“God I’m hungry.” Ty said. He was now sitting on the leaves.
“Eat your foot Ty.” Adam said from where he was, which was lying sprawled on a pillow of leaves.
“Not just any foot, Ty, your left one.” I said. I saw where this was going.
“HASHTAG TY’S LEFT FOOT!” Adam yelled. Ty was now laughing uncontrollably at the inside joke. Jason, being what seems like the night guard, he was looking at us and shaking his head, while trying not to laugh too loud. That’s when I saw it, just out of the corner of my eye...
