Chapter 31

Pierre's POV

I stay seated as I watch Lando drag Sofia out of the restaurant, I forcefully rub at my forehead as I sigh, I just want to spend time with Sofia one on one but Lando is constantly lurking around her so I can't get the chance, I don't even know if Sofia thinks of me like that but I can't help but feel something for her, I just want to sit down with her by ourselves in an isolated space. I pull myself off the seat and make my way back to Yuki who is attempting to chat up the bartender but to no surprise, it's not going well, Yuki gets nervous around girls and begins to mumble all his words together so half of the time it's just nonsense coming from his mouth. I pat Yuki on the shoulders "C'mon big boy, let's go to the club" Yuki turns around as he finishes off his drink as he looks over my shoulder to the table I just left "It didn't go well?" I had told Yuki about my potential feelings for Sofia and he was the one to talk some sense in to me and to go for it, I wouldn't get anywhere with her if I just stayed in the background "No, Lando took her away again" Yuki sighs "Did you invite her to the club? If they came I could distract Lando and you could talk to her in private?" God I love this man, his height might be small but his brain is definitely big with all the idea's he's been telling me about recently "Yeah, that sounds good. I'll text her to see her answer.... Wait I don't have her number" Yuki looks at me with a stupid look on his face "Um instagram you stupid french bitch" I laugh as I lightly tap Yuki on the shoulder playfully.

Lando, Lando, Lando. Seriously, what is so special about Lando? I'm honestly sick of seeing him and hearing about him, I put my phone back into my pocket as I tap Yuki on the shoulder once more "Let's go, she's already there" Yuki hops off the stool as we leave the restaurant, we begin to walk towards the club and the closer we get the louder the music gets "So what will I speak to Lando about? Like I'm friends with him but this just feels so sneaky and I get awkward and I'll begin to stutter my words and Lando isn't stupid so he'll know somethings up...." Yuki spits his words out at the speed of lightening and I can barely make out what he said "Woah Yuki, chill out" I laugh at his frightened face as he only realises what he's got himself into "You're the one that came up with the plan? If you don't want to do it, it's all good. I can still speak to Sofia" Yuki nibbles on his bottom lip, he's such an awkward little fella "No Pierre, I can do this. I need to know if there is something between you and Sofia" Yuki nods his head as he tells himself mentally he can do it "I mean me and Lando are friends, it won't be awkward. Yuki, you can do this... I need to be drunk before I do it cause then hopefully the nerves will go away... What will I say if he notices you both gone?... I can't stop him from leaving, he's stronger than me...." Yuki begins to ramble on again as we're now standing outside the nightclub, the bouncer recognises both of us and lets us into the door where we're met with the smell of alcohol, sweat and desperation, I look around at the girls swarming the dance floor and a couple of them catch my eye as their beauty is out of this world but nothing compared to Sofia, her beauty is far too good for this planet. We walk towards the vip section where once again the bouncer recognises us and let us in quickly before we get swarmed by the people in the nightclub, when we walk into the vip section it's spilt into 3 sections, in the right corner it's just a crowd of females and then the section in the middle is male and females and the section in the left corner is only occupied by Lando and Sofia who are cuddling up with one another, I look away as I feel my heart sink but I quickly push that feeling away as we walk up to them "Heyy!" Sofia stands up and hugs Yuki before giving me a brief hug, she quickly sits down again beside Lando who places his hand on her thigh as he looks at me, he watches my every movement until I'm seated, obviously letting Yuki sit in between me and him, I'll wait until Sofia leaves to go to the bathroom to chat with her, I could easily guess that Lando isn't going to let her out of his sights and I don't blame him, men would kill to be with Sofia. Sofia and Yuki talk amongst themselves whereas me and Lando just sit in silence, me mostly staring at Sofia as her facial expressions change as she tells her stories to Yuki, and Lando just watching me stare at Sofia, his facial expression is unreadable as he can clearly see me staring at her "Right, need to go to the bathroom, back in a couple of minutes" Sofia's gentle Italian accent fills my ears and my eyes basically light up in joy "Oh, I need to go too, we can walk each other" I stand up as I smile at her as I offer her a hand to help her up, Lando goes to speak but Yuki luckily with multiple drinks in him at this point begins to make up conversation with Lando so therefore he's stuck there with Yuki. I gently place my hand on Sofia's lower back to lead her out of the vip section, the bouncer lifts up the rope and lets us out as we begin to make our way through the nightclub to reach the toilets, we arrive at the toilets and I decide to let us both freshen ourselves up before we chat. I wait outside the female toilets for what seems like forever but once I see Sofia coming out, a smile fills my face "Let's go back" She shouts into my ear as she begins to walk back again but I quickly grab her hand "Could I talk to you first?" I shout back at her, she stops suddenly and turns around to face me "Yeah! Sure" She stands in front of me so therefore she can hear me better as I stare nervously into her beautiful brown eyes "What's going on with you and Lando?" I question as she glances at me "What do you mean?" Her facial expressions confused as she replies "I just wanted to know if you and Lando were like dating? I don't know. You guys have just been so close recently and I wanted the chance to get to know you, you're gorgeous Sofia and I would and could give you the whole world if I got the chance too. I would love to take you out on a date, are you free tomorrow night? We could do something" Sofia's mouth opens and closes as she goes to say something, her eyes glancing between me and the floor continuously, she smiles awkwardly as she looks at me "Um thanks Pierre but..." She holds up her right hand as she points to the ring sitting on her middle finger and I struggle to understand what's going on "Lando asked me to be his girlfriend tonight and I said yes" Her tone apologetic as she stares at me with sorrowful eyes "Sorry Pierre, I never knew you felt that way" She continues as I feel my heart sink lower and lower with every word she says "I could treat you so much better" I barely whisper as I don't even mean to say it out loud, it was a thought, I just hope she never heard it but her facial expressions and her awkward nodding of her head says otherwise. Sofia begins to walk away from me and I fight myself to not pull her in for a kiss but an angry looking Lando comes into the bathroom hallway, the light above his head basically showing the steam coming from his ears "What the fuck is going on here?" He hisses, mainly at me as Sofia walks up to him in attempt to get him to calm down, he whispers something to her that I can't make up as she steps to the side keeping her head to the ground, he storms towards me "Look Pierre mate, I'm going to try and be reasonable here. It's not hard to know you like Sofia, I mean who wouldn't, look at her" We both look over at her as she glances over to us before looking back out to the dance floor "I don't want things to be awkward between us but for that to happen you need to keep your thoughts about Sofia friendly, no more flirting with her. I'm not saying to not talk to her but we're together so there's no chance for you" I nod my head as Lando walks away and takes Sofia's hand in his as she takes one more look at me before giving me an apologetic smile. God, how am I going to get myself to give up on her.
