@kymillman: Sofia with the McLaren colours today as Lando Norris starts from pole position. Lando arrived early this morning with the other drivers to prepare for the day whereas Sofia arrived with Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen's girlfriend later in the day, both of the girls smiling and laughing with each other before they made their way to hospitality. Both girls will more than likely be watching the race from the VIP section, I hope they have a good day!

The race had started about 20 minutes ago and the sweat poured from me as I watched Max desperately fight with Lando for 1st position, I could tell Kelly was in the same predicament as me as she edged closer off her seat ever time they got too close for our likings, my heart sunk for Lando as they powered on down the straight and Max's DRS opened, Lando without it was defenceless as Max sped past him, Lando was able to stay in close range of Max from there on but Max's defending was another ball game, there was no chance for Lando to get past at any point and he ended up wrecking his tires which led to an earlier pit stop then they would have liked but still Lando shouted positive things down the radio "C'mon guys! We can do this!" Lando was happy enough to finish 2nd, it was better than he finished last year, well that's what he told me earlier this morning before he left, he did said he would like to win but if it doesn't happen this year, it will come shortly after which I believed, I feel as if Lando hadn't his mind set on potentially being world champion this year, it was a shock to him just as much as everyone else, but next year I say he'll put his mind to it and then that's when it will happen. The race zoomed past and of course it ended with Max P1, Lando P2 and Charles P3, it was an exciting race and the fans definitely got their money's worth from it. Myself and Kelly rush down to Parc Ferme and arrive just in time as the cars come pulling in, Kelly gives me a hug before making her way over to the Red Bull team whereas I make my way to the McLaren team where once again they move aside to let me stand at the fence, Lando hops out of the car before running over to us, I could see that dorky smile underneath his helmet as he bounced along the ground before he was suddenly standing in front of me, he lifts me up and gives me a tight hug as all the mechanics roar with happiness, they definitely didn't expect one of their drivers to get P2 in the driver's Championship, Lando pats me on the head before making his way to all the mechanics where they all pat him on the back and scream encouraging words at him. An FIA member comes over and tells Lando it's nearly time for the interviews and he'll have to make his way over to the directed area, he nods his head and walks over to me again where he removes his helmet and places a kiss on to my lips before pulling away and making his way to the interview area. I meet up again with Kelly to watch the podium celebration together as the commentator introduces them out, with Max however he gets a dramatic pausing before the commentator roars that he is this year's world champion, I clap my hands as Kelly stands beside me jumping up and down as she screams out for her boyfriend. Lando stood proud on the P2 mark as he awaits for the trophy to be presented to him, I was so proud of him as my face began to hurt from smiling too much, the trophies were quickly presented to each other and then the champagne was released as all three drivers stood up there laughing away as they soaked one another with the liquid, they all calmed down and each took a sip of the champagne but setting it down, lifting their trophies and making their way to where they came from. Once I met with Lando again, the plan was to go back to the hotel, get freshened up and we were going out to celebrate a fantastic season, the night ended with Daniel nearly in tears, he almost spilled Lando's secret, only a small handful of us know what it is.
