Soobin walked quietly to his mother's room. To his surprise, Sunhee was with his father— Byungho. It was a new occurrence for Sunhee and Byungho to stay in a room.

The pair would end up killing each other if they have each other's presence in one room.

Well, in reality, Sunhee never loved Byungho. Not even a little bit. She just wanted the title. Opposite for Byungho, he loved Sunhee so much before, not until he realized that the woman married him for a title.

Head hung low, Soobin closed the door behind him and stood in front of the two.

The prince felt his parents' sharp gazes, as if it can almost kill him.

"You freak. I heard from the people that you were laughing, smiling without a reason today!" Sunhee started which made Soobin shocked.

"How did they know?" He chanted in his mind.

Byungho sighs, "Soobin, what the hell is wrong with you?" The King says, sternly. His voice was angrier.

Soobin doesn't understand, didn't his parents want him to make appearance in public? To smile, and laugh with the civilians?

"Fucking freak! I am disgusted to the bone." Sunhee hissed, throwing a shard at him. The shard landed on his arm, but good thing it was only a scratch.

"Why don't you be like your brother!? Learn the human emotions! Freak!" Sunhee shouted, standing up from her bed.

Byungho, on the other hand, remained deaf. He lets his wife verbally abuse his oldest son.

The Queen pulled Soobin's hair, which caused for the prince to stumble to the ground.

The impact wasn't loud, so Soobin was able to get up again without struggle.

Byungho left the room, he was called by the head of the knights.

Sunhee smirked, "if your grandfather was alive, maybe he could've help you. But where is he? Buried six feet underground." She says, laughing hysterically.

The prince froze. His grandfather was the reason why he decided to live. Well, at first, he was an abuser, but changed and started treating his children kindly.

Soobin raised his head, staring at her blankly.

Sunhee was confused at first, but she didn't mind. She continued insulting Soobin's dead grandfather until the moon prince had it.

He turned his back, "you're the worst mother to exist." He says, not sparing her a glance.

It's been 3 years ever since Soobin and Sunhee spoke to each other. After the night that the Queen called him, he stopped talking to him.

He ignored her, her invitations, and even when walking in the same hallway.

Today, he is preparing for the ball that his parents prepared. The day was marked as "the creation of heaven, and land; of the kingdoms in sky, sea, and hills."
