first quarter moon

Soobin silently sat beside his bed, on the floor. He already longs for Yeonjun's presence. The elder left earlier, as he only planned on staying for a short time. During Yeonjun's stay, the kingdom slowly warms up.

"I want to see him." Soobin unconsciously muttered, holding the letter that Yeonjun gave him earlier.

dear choi soobin,
take care of yourself, if you don't, i will be angry. let's see each other soon, again! always stay calm, moon prince.

Soobin giggles as if he can hear Yeonjun saying those to him personally. The Moon Prince can feel heat rising up his cheeks as he thinks of Yeonjun even more. His heart beats loudly, as if it's leaving his chest.

"I.. this can't be.. do I like him?" He whispered to himself, panic visible on his face. Soobin will be doomed if he falls in love with the same royalty. Their hierarchy is doomed.

"If I like him, no one will continue our bloodline.. which means.. there will be no victim of generation trauma.." Soobin trailed off, placing the letter on the table beside his bed.

He contemplates about the decision he is about to make the next time. He wants to change on how the Rising Moon rules.

"He likes Yeonjun from Chaos Star.. huh.." Beomgyu acknowledged, as he feels his brother's aura seeping out from his door.

He didn't intend to eavesdrop, it just he had passed his brother's room, and was curious.

"Good for him." Beomgyu added, passing through his brother's room.

"He found his eternity.. maybe Yeji is right." The young prince mumbled, recollecting the time when Yeji told him something about Soobin.

"Well, your brother won't be single forever, you know. There will be time that you will be needing to take the throne." Yeji suggested, looking at the water she prepared earlier.

Beomgyu looked at her with confusion, "how come? He's in line of being the King of Rising Moon." He questioned, still puzzled.

Yeji never goes wrong with her future telling. She would either get it accurate, or partially; but it never goes wrong.

"That's what I see here. Don't question me." She replied, feeling offended. Beomgyu sheepishly smiled, apologizing to Yeji.

Beomgyu sighed, walking down the hallway. He feels pressure ever since he asked Yeji his future. Now he knows how much pressure Soobin is dealing with.

"The pressure of being the successor, and the pressure of being the King." The young prince lamented, stopping on the stairs.

He saw Sunhee, and one of the unfamiliar commission under their command, talking.

"I should listen." The gray haired internally says, walking down the stairs.

"Moon Prince, the Queen asks for your presence." A maid called, making Soobin irritated.

Soobin just nodded, and the maid left. He doesn't understand, what's the point of calling him every hour just because of a nonsense announcements.
