Chapter Fourteen

Chapter 14

Being back at home, everything was still the same. The local officer still had a chip on thier shoulder when she arrives on their scence on one of her fire calls.

As for the fire department, they were starting to get better. They weren't afraid of her as much but there were a few that still kept their distance but their fear wasn't there.

Justin was still on his leave from his unit as he was enjoying his time with his family. He even got a surprised when one of his military buddies came by to visit. He had the chance to go home early from an injury he had gotten riding in one of their humvee.

Even though this guy was attacked by rogue werewolves, he was the only survivor that managed to say human. Justin wasn't that lucky.

That night Justin and his buddy Sam Penn had rented a few movies while Manny had bought some pizzas and drinks. "Would any of you like another slice!" Manny hollered at the boys while he was getting him another slice.

"Yes sir, we'll take another!" Justin hollered back.

Grabbing the last four slices of hamburger, Manny heard scratches coming from the side door. Knowing his dogs doesn't do that, he made his way over to see what was going on. When he opened it, he jumped back when he saw four big wolves standing there.

Catching the scent of the wolves, Justin quickly got up and hurried to the dinning room where he got between them and his dad.

"Call Kristen!" he told his dad as he never took his eyes off the four wolves.

"What do you want?" Justin snarled.

"We're not here to hurt no one. We just want to talk to your Alpha." A male voice answered back. "We will wait out here to prevent any trouble." He added as he laid down and the others followed.

Working in her office catching up on some paperwork. Kristen's heard her cell go off, "Hello." she answered as she thumbed through her folders.

"Hey Kristen it's Shelly." The tone in Shelly's voice caused Kristen to stop what she was doing.

"We have a situation over here that need you." Hearing the worriedness in her tone, "We have four wolves outside our door. They are not showing any aggression, they're just laying there. Justin is here and he's watching them." Shelly finished.

"I'm on my way." Kristen hung up.

Grabbing a small bag, she stripped her clothes, placed them into it, she placed it on her back before changing into her wolf form.

Taking off in a dead run, she rushed through the woods over tours Manny's. Rounding the corner, she saw the four wolves laying there on porch with Justin standing over them.

When they saw Kristen walking tours them, they raised up and bowed, showing their respect to her.

"Is there a problem here?" she asked keeping her guard up but staying calm as she didn't feel any type of threat coming from them.

"We need your help." The male's voice spoke up as the biggest one stood.

"What kind of help?" Kristen asked.

"We want out of our pack. Our Alpha is cruel and heartless..." He couldn't finish as she felt him starting to get upset over it.

Looking over at Justin, "Asked your parents if it is alright for us to come in."

Not liking the idea, he nodded and walked off.

Once Kristen got permission she turned her attention back to the four young wolves. "Why don't we go in and you can start from the beginning."
