Chapter Twenty-Four

Chapter 24

"Kristen!....Kristen!....Alpha Kristen!" Dallas cried out.

"What is it?" her voice half asleep.

"I need your help! There are to many !"

"Where are you?" She jumped out of bed.Giving her his location. "I'm on my why!"

Kristen knew that they have been watching her from a far as she had allowed her brother's member to head back home to spend some time with their family.

Britten also went back to work and Justin was still overseas. They knew it would only be her and one more protecting the area and that's when they made their move.

Dodging trees and low limps, jumping over brushes and rotting logs, Kristen could hear the fighting getting closer. Digging her paws deeper, she kicked up dirt behind her as she launched herself through the air and landing on top of one of the other pack members digging her teeth deep where ever they had landed.

The fight was loud as Kristen could hear what sounded like an ATV heading towards them.

"We need to take this fight somewhere else." Kristen dodged the teeth of an attack.

"What is it?" Dallas gritted his teeth as he felt a bit on his back.

"Someone's coming." Kristen told him but the ATV was faster then she thought as it came to a quick stop and two guys jumped out.

The wolf broke free from Kristen and took off towards the men. Racing after them, Kristen launched herself again tackling the wolf to the ground, but with her strong momentum they ended up rolling over to one of he guys knocking him to the ground too.

Hearing him swear as she quickly got up, she took a quick glance back to see if they were alright. He was pissed but ok as he was getting up.

Keeping this wolf from going after them again, Kristen manage to get a good bite and throw them as far as she could away from the men.

Trying to take care of this wolf, Kristen started to feel a burning sensation on her shoulder. Just before she heard a yep from the other wolf.

Stopping their fight, the wolf turned and took off as did the other that Dallas  was fighting, leaving both her and him puzzled.

Looking back Kristen saw that one of the guys had a bow and he was getting ready for another shot. As he was aiming his arrow, "Dallas! Get out of here!"  Kristen yelled as she took off towards the guy.

Feeling the burning from the first arrow the second one scraped her back hip. Kristen still manage to get close as she leaped into the air,  twisted her body so that paws was the only thing that would hit him and knocked him to the ground.

Hitting the ground harder this time, Kristen landed on her paws and took off running. She didn't even look back as she dissappeared into the surrounding woods.

"Kristen!" Dallas cried out as he could feel that she had some pain.

"I'm alright. I don't think Taten's pack is going to do anything else tonight knowing we have Silver Blood Hunters here now. So lets head back to the house and get cleaned up." She told her Beta as she limped back home.

Letting the warm water wash over her. The blood from her open wounds filled the bottom of her shower. They were closing and she knew that they wouldn't leave a scar.

Painfully crawling into bed, Kristen just laid her head down when her cell rang. Growling, she snached it, "This better be good." She half growled.
