Kristen had been around her fire family for the past four years. She knew they were all humans and the State Troopers that show up on scene has also been human. So what had happened for one of them to change and why.
Catching another whiff, her eyes followed the direction and to her surprised it was one of her department members.
Studying the group, it didn't take her long to noticed that Justin looked way uncomfortable. "What in the world happened over there for him to have changed?" she thought as she took a sip of her water.
This situtation is going to be difficult since he has lived here all is life and now he changed into her kind. She needs to know what all he understood and learned as well why he had changed.
"Justin. Do you mind if I have a word with you please?" Kristen asked keeping her wolf under tone out.
She knew he heard her as his poster changed and his face put on an annouying look. Ever since he had came back from boot camp, he got this better then you attitude that she wanted to knock the shit out of him. He was human then.
Looking past his new found attitude, Kristen asked again politely and again he didn't answer. Now she was getting pissed off.
Taking a calming deep breath, she used a bit of her wolf tone, "Justin, we need to talk now!"
Hearing a low growl that only she could hear, he finely looked over. He was pissed but yet surprised when he saw how far she was from him. His look was priceless which brought her anger down just a little.
Grumbling all the way over, "What do you want!" he demanded trying to be the domanating one between them.
Kristen's inter wolf was trying her damnest to get out. She wanted to show Justin who the Alpha really was. He thinks she was the weakest one between them as he was in the military and fought in battles but he has a huge upset coming to him.
It was difficult but she manage to stay calm as she replied, "I would like to know what happen to you?"
"It's none of your business." He snapped as he stood taller.
Kristen was so glad that she learned how to control her anger because if she didn't, she would have ripped his head off by now.
Taking another deep breath, she used a firmer tone but not her Alpha, "It is my business. Justin. You see, this is my territory and I...."
"Your territory!" He growled, "This is my home town and my turf. I don't have to tell you shit! Just because you are a werewolf doesn't mean that you know me or to get to know me." he gave a deep warning growl.
Moving closer and giving off a dominant oder, he looked her straight in her eyes and snarled, "I am the Alpha here!"
That done it. She was pissed. Her nostrils flared as the air around them got so heavy and thick quick but she didn't let him feel all her Alpha powers. He manage to fight to keep his composure.
"I don't know who the hell you think you are but you sure not no damn Alpha. You may been born and raised here but this is not 'Your Turf.'" she kept her eye locked on his. "You just entered my world."
"This is 'my' turf." Justin fought hard to show his teeth and try to challenge her, prove that he was going to be the Alpha.
The air around them went so heavy that Justin was litterly started shaking as he tried to stay up right.
"How dare you use your wolf at someone who's not posing a threat. Are you thinking about going rogue. Just because you're in the military don't mean shit."
Forcing more of her Alpha power down upon him, he ended up on his knees. He could feel everyone command she made as he diverted his eyes to the ground.
Squatting down in front of him, she leaned in close. "Be careful who you challenge. Because the next Alpha won't be so generous nor a member of the Royal Family." she gave a rumbling warning growl.
Seeing that he got the point, she relaxed just a bit, "Now that we understand each other, lets start over." Allowing him to get up, Kristen repeated, "Now, tell me what happen to you?"
Being that she didn't us her Alpha tone, Justin didn't have to answer. However she could see that he was struggling as she had used her power on him. His interwolf was telling him to obay but his human pride didn't.
Knowing it was a lossing battle, he gave up as he huffed, "It was not like I intended on this. I was forced into it."
"Go on." She hid her grin. She could see that it was killing him as he felt helpless on telling her everything she wanted to know.
Grumbling, "We were a few hours into our normal patrol when we came across a few enemy soldiers. We engaged in a fire fight but then we were hit blindsided. I had never felt so much pain in my life. I didn't know what was happening but I do remember at that pointe I wished for death."
Watching him think back, she could feel his pain that he could remember. She felt sorry for him. She doesn't know what it feels like to be changed as she was born a werewolf but she had heard that it felt like you were dying.
"After a few days I finely came two and the pain had eased but the nightmare begain." He started back, "I found out that only three of my team members lived. Brody and I were the only one that had changed, Sam was the lucky one that manage to stay human."
Running his fingers through his hair, "The Special Ops team got there just before the wolves could do any more damage."
Kristen could see that it was tough on him but she listened as he want on, "The Ops team took us Brody and me in and taught us the basics. How to change, how to keep our temper in check...."
That brought and eye browl up but she still didn't say nothing.
"It was easer said then done." A faint smile appeared, "I have a shorter fuse that I never had before and snap back as quick as someone smarts off to me."
"How do they help you control it?" she asked.
"They ran the shit out of us. All we done was run in both forms. The ones that were in a pack helped us out with other things like hearing and night vistion. They were a big help." he told her.
Kristen wasn't to happy on how he was tought. She could help him through this but he has to be willing to listen and learn from her.
Sound syncer, "I know this is a big change, I can also see that you still don't understand this life." Locking her eyes to his, "If you need any help with anything, call me at any time. We can talk all night if we have to or if you want some training. No matter what it is, Manny and Shelly have my number."
Seeing yellow flashing lights, Kristen knew the wreckers had arrived. Making sure Justin understoon where he stands in this territray as well as making sure he can ask for help. She left him be so that he could take everything in.
She was glad that he also learned how to block his thoughts. She didn't want to know what he was thinking as the look on his face said it all.
Before she reached the wrecker she heard him say, "They said I have three options. One I could join someone's pack, two I could join them, it would be like a pack but not all the pack rules or three, I could be a loner."
Smiling warmly, "It is a big decision but that decision is going to have to be yours and yours alone. No one can tell you yes or no. Joining a pack it great but isn't not as easy to get out. Whatever you do, do what you think is right for you. You are the only one that will know it and you will."
Seeing the look on his face, she added, "Follow your instincts. They are your best weapon. Don't doubt them and remember. You can talk to me about anything."
Seeing his attatude change, there was still a bit of pride there but more understanding. He will not be getting this territory like he wanted but someone that will help when he needs it.
