Chapter 28
Feeling worse than shit, Kristen finished the house fire scene and was looking forward to goin home. Everyone was surprised that she was still standing as she looked like something from the walking dead.
"Are you going to be alright?" Heavy concern was heard in Dallas's voice as he turned off her truck's engine in front of Kristen's house.
"Yay, I'll be fine. Just a little weak. Nothing that some rest won't fix so that my body could heal."
"Well if you need anything. Let me know."
Smiling, "I will. Thank you."
Kristen didn't know that her body stove up so thightly that she needed help getting out, but when she hung on the door, she quickly felt that something was wrong.
Taking in a few painful deep breaths she could still only smell smoke but her body reacted as she felt rage.
"Do you smell that?" Dallas growled as he made his way to her.
"No, but I can feel it, but where are they?"
Leaving Kristen holding on the truck door, Dallas followed the scent towards the pack house. Leading up he turned the door nob and slowly pushed it open. Now there were two scents lingered inside the whole house as whoever they were went through the entire house as and in each of the rooms.
Dallas's blood was boiling. They were here. In his house while his sister and everyone else was still asleep. Thankfully no one was hurt. It didn't even look like they even knew but the wolf made sure he left his scent to show that he was indeed there.
The other scent wasn't as strong as it seemed to just be looking around for something, but for what? They were raging, Dallas could smell that but he also knew that this second scent wasn't a wolf but someone far more dangerous.
"Is everyone alright?" Kristen asked as she slowly made her way over towards her pack's bunk house
"Yes. They are all still asleep. It appears that they didn't know that someone was even there." He hurried back over to her as he could see that she was walking towards the house.
"This was a statement. They were saying that they can come and go as they please and kill us when they feel like it." Kristen advised him, "We need to stay alert."
Dallas could smell both scents around Kristen's house too. "Let me go check it out." He told her as he left her standing by the steps of her porch.
Feeling like shit, Kristen didn't argue. Dallas quickly and quitely made his way through out the house, "They're gone, but they went through every room here too. The one that is raging stayed in your room for a while. It's very strong in there."
"Thank you Dallas." Kristen carefully and paifully went up her steps.
He gave her a look, "I'll be ok." her voice was harsh and talking hurt worse then she though.
Walking into her house, Kristen still couldn't smell any scent but she could feel that someone had endeed went through her whole house.
She made her way into her room. She was pissed that someone came into her her house and her pack's house but then she felt something different. The second person that was there. Dallas didn't know who it was but she knew.
She didn't even have to know his scent as her body started to relax and change from being pissed to a little bit excited.
"Jax."
