What is the importance of the phrase, "to see the best in people"?
I'm having a hard time for the past years on how to put its real meaning in to words. For some, it's only along the lines of "respect begets respect", or "treat others how you want to be treated", it's only part of it and there's still a further explanation.
To begin with, to see the best in people means to looked at their positive qualities but it doesn't mean we neglect the negative. We only look for the negative if the purpose of addressing it is to help the person find for solutions.
Second, things you see enters your mind. So if you see positivity, positive things enters your mind. In a short explanation, what you see is what enters your mind. It is what your mind calculates.
Third, what enters our mind is what ourselves would absorb and apply.
But this is also according to our will of choosing whether to apply it or not. But mostly, this is how the cycle goes.Fourth, what we absorb and apply can be in some point leads to addiction. When we start to feel better to something (whether good things or not), it imprints in our hearts until doing it constantly turns in to a habit.
Lastly, when things become a habit, we become addictive. And, this addiction becomes our character.
Conclusion, if we choose positivity, it becomes our character. If we choose to see their good qualities, we adopt the same character. And, if we choose to see the best, it can change our behavior and character, and inspired to be the best.
