Understanding Introverts

To live as an introvert in a world of extroverts is difficult. Because most of the people do not understand the concept of introversion. I personally experienced different criticism and I've been in a situation where I personally doubt myself and thought that maybe there's something wrong in me.

But, isn't it wrong to live your life based on other people's criticism and is it right to ask validations from others? Well, it's difficult to give a final judgment but things should firstly be understood.

Introverts are not anti-social. They are selectively social. This means that they can socialize, and be loud with the people around them only in a specific period of time. But most of the people misunderstood the concept of introversion. They mostly thought that introverts are lonely, sad, depressed, etc. They don't mostly understand that the purpose why introverts want to be alone, to be isolated, and want silence is because they want to regain their energy. Being surrounded by the crowd loses their energy. Noise of the people, socializing with others or even human interaction loses their energy and they can only regain it through silence and isolation.
