Taehyung pushed open the door of his cafe in a way that was not possessive at all. He feels down.

Although he has been using the subway to come to work for two days- certainly, the face he saw two days ago was not waiting for him there.

Hereby, he was coming to work thinking why he was doing that, why he wanted to see him again on that subway, and why he felt so upset when couldn't.

He had already been living for 3 years without seeing him even once. He did not know how reasonable it was to attribute his happiness to being able to see him. Did he even have the right? He had no idea.

Taehyung goes behind the island counter in the middle of the u-shaped customer tables, takes off his neck scarf, folds it carefully, and puts it in his cupboard above.

He didn't notice Yoongi watching him with blinking eyes as he did this. When their eyes met, he shook his head side to side, in the meaning of 'What?'.

"You're early," Yoongi squints, "Again?"

"So?"

"I'm just wondering why," Yoongi looks at his watch, "You should be still lying in your bed watching the birds line your window right now."

Taehyung rolls his eyes as he fastens the apron around his waist, "Birds aren't coming to my bedroom window."

"What difference does it make?"

The younger one turns to the side of the coffee cups that have been washed and waiting to be lined up, not answering. Yoongi follows him for a while with his watchful eyes, then can't help but asks;

"Is there something I don't know?"

Taehyung knows that even if he doesn't behave much differently due to the habitualities that the years have brought with them, Yoongi will notice even the slightest change in him. That is why he is not surprised at all by this sudden question.

"No, nothing special."

"Then.."

Although Taehyung doesn't look that way, he knows that his friend is fidgeting uncomfortably where he is.

"Are you feeling stressed about the evening?"

"Evening?" Tae asks if they agreed to an event or something that he doesn't know about because there's nothing like that in his mind that he should remember.

"Evening, yes. Jimin's homecoming party, remember?"

Taehyung's hands hover. He had completely forgotten. Since the moment he saw Jimin, he had forgotten about it like everything else.

Due to having slept at night wondering if he could see him there again in the morning, he had even forgotten the first day he would actually meet him.

Remembering the effect Jimin's presence had on him.. was nice, actually.

He smiles slightly, "No, I don't feel like I'm stressed."
