Things have gotten weird with Jimin more than ever, and even though he's good with the others, Taehyung still feels nervous sometimes. There is also Hoseok, sending him messages while sitting right next to him.. his behavior seem strange too.
Probably because of these, from the first moment they entered the noisy place, Taehyung has a deep distress inside himself that he cannot describe.
Namjoon, Seokjin, Hoseok and Taehyung are sitting at the table where they always do, waiting for the other three to arrive, they have taken their starting drinks and are talking here and there as much as they can make their voices heard.
When their conversation slowed for a while, Seokjin raised his eyes towards the youngest one on the table and asked between sips of drinks, "Are you okay, Tae?"
Although Taehyung finds it a little odd, he replies, "It's only my second glass."
"I'm not meaning that, idiot, I'm saying how is it to go back to your life with Jimin, are you okay?"
Hoseok is just watching and focusing on his drink while Namjoon rolls his eyes at him. In fact, although everyone at the table or not is wondering about this, the only person who can ask openly is Seokjin.
He especially feels obliged to be in the saddle of the smallest change and event in the lives of his little ones. Others now know this by heart and greet him with many emotions, sometimes with safeness, sometimes with surprise.
"You can't actually say 'going back' to it," Taehyung leans his elbows on the table, gently shaking the crystal glass in his hand, the bitter liquid inside churning a little, "My life with him is very different now, we are very different from what we used to be."
Seokjin imitates him and grabs his own glass, "But the way you look at each other is still the same."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I see the way you look at each other. I even saw it while watching that stupid movie today."
Taehyung frowns slightly, "He didn't look at me at all."
"How do you know?"
"He's never taken his eyes off Jimin, that's why he knows." Hoseok interrupts with a rather amused expression on his face.
"You can be sure he's looking whenever he can, Taetae," Seokjin raises his index finger in front of his eyes, "You can trust my radar."
"Oh, Hyung, you must have misunderstood," Taehyung chuckles awkwardly, in high school, this conversation was occasionally spoken between them. He had remembered those times, but the thought no longer felt distant to him and did not frighten him as much as it did then.
