  Hot In Herre: Nelly

I let out a low groan as I open my eyes. I then furrow my eyebrows as I feel that my pillow is soaking wet. I get up and look to see that my bed and myself are covered in sweat. I swallow before my eyes widen, realizing it hurt to do so. I curse under my breath before sneezing.

"Shit." I rasp out and then sniffle. "No." I whisper before sitting up and I lean my arms over my knees.

"Hey." Miles enters. "We're gonna be late."

I gag and swallow. "I'd keep your distance for a few days."

"What?" He furrows his eyebrows and I look up at him with a heaving chest before my stomach churns, making me puff my cheeks. "Oh, no." He mutters and I race out of my room to get to the bathroom. "Mom! Maya!"

"Hey, there she is." Lana enters my room as I lean against my bedpost with my blanket covering me up to my waist.

"Here I am." I sniffle. "How is my beautiful wife?"

"Not doing so good since the love of her life is sick." She pulls a chair from my desk and sits down.

"You should keep your distance. I don't wanna-"

"I already had the flu in February."

I scoff. "Lucky you then, huh?"

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay." I croak out. "Ten bucks my mom's making me soup right now."

Lana laughs and nods. "Nailed it. Clark told me that you told your mom about the field trip."

"Yeah, I did."

"Does she know that...the night you..."

"Yeah, I told her."

"Good."

"But I didn't tell her about...the..." I glance down.

"It's okay. You will someday, when you're ready." Lana grabs my hand. "Do you regret not telling her about the field trip?"

"No." I shake my head. "And I know I should say, I regret not telling her sooner, but I don't. Cause if I did, I don't think I would be here." I sniffle.

She hugs me tightly and pulls away. "From Nell." She now holds up a blue flower. "It's the same color as your eyes."

"Thanks." I grin and we chuckle as she places the flower behind my ear. "You planning on making a documentary?" I look the camera in her other hand.
