"Holy shit!" Miles slurs out as I swing from building to building with my arm around him. "Yeah! Whoo-hoo! Yeah!" He smiles and I chuckle through my bandana before we land back in the alleyway. "Oh, B. Oh, my God. That was—that was fucking amazing."
"Tell me about it." I pull my bandana down before pulling off my hood.
"What else can you do?"
"This." I jump and start crawling all over the walls.
"Holy fucking shit!" Miles beams. "My best friend has powers. My best friend has powers!" He jumps up and down. "And this all just happened a few days ago?"
"Yep." I easily land on my feet. "Didn't know spiders liked to hang out on a train station of all places."
"So am I only one who knows?"
"Yeah." I nod and he hugs me.
"Your secret's safe with me, B. Forever." Miles squeezes me.
"I know that. Thanks, Miles." I hug him back.
"Man, this is so cool!" He now pulls away. "You're cool! Cooler than ever before!" He shakes me. "You were a superhero when you were human, but now...you're a God."
"Thanks, but, I'm still me, Miles." I nod.
"I know." Miles nods back. "I just believe things happen for a reason, you know? Maybe that's why you were finally given these powers. After everything you've done, all the pain you've gone through, it was all just to get you ready for this. To be...to be...Spider-Girl."
"Words cannot describe how much I hate that name."
"Spider-Woman?"
"Worse."
"Spider-Gal."
"Don't make me web your mouth shut."
"You're quick, you're clever, no one ever sees you. I got it." Miles snaps his fingers. "How about Ghost Sp-"
"Enough." I laugh. "I don't need a name."
"Yeah, you do."
"No, I don't. Alright, I gotta head to Arkham. Jim is talking to Professor Strange as we speak." I pull my hood and bandana back up. "It's a good thing I can climb walls and stuff, now they really won't see me coming in." I shoot a web before taking off.
