Lonely Road: Naits
I gently open my eyes to meet Clark's blue ones. He gazes at me with his arm behind my head for support from the hard floor. He's still hovering over me with a blanket over the both of us.
"It's morning, right?" I hoarsely say.
"Yeah." Clark nods. "How you feeling?" He tilts his head.
"I'm okay." I merely nod. "How did this get here?" I look at the blanket covering us.
"My mom."
"Oh. Okay." I realize Martha had probably witnessed my whole nervous breakdown last night. "So, you didn't have to go to the bathroom? Like, at all?" I question and we start laughing. "No, but seriously, you didn't wake up in the middle of the night?"
"I didn't sleep." Clark shakes his head and I slap his arm.
"Why the hell not?"
"I wasn't tired." He pushes some hair behind my ear with his free hand and my eyes start to water. "A million dollars, huh?"
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Well, what are you gonna buy?"
"Drugs. A lot of it." I nod and he cracks a grin before shaking his head. "I, uh, I have go back to Gotham. I'm supposed to meet Alfred and Bruce so we can hunt down Malone." I go to get up.
"Hey." Clark pushes me and the back of my head hits his arm. "You need to take it easy. And before you accuse me of throwing a misogynistic comment your way, I am here to tell you that your accusation is false. You need to take it easy, okay? Please. For me." He nods and I slowly nod back. "Okay, so here's the plan. You're gonna rest for fifteen more minutes, you're gonna shower, we're gonna eat breakfast and then we'll go to Gotham—meet up with Margo there."
"You are not going to-"
"That's the plan."
"Okay. Okay, Kent." I close my eyes.

"Oh, Master Bruce." Alfred says as Bruce enters.
"Hello, Clark. Margo, Thank you for being here." Bruce nods.
"My pleasure." Margo grins.
"Of course, buddy." Clark pats Bruce's shoulder.
"Are you ready?" Alfred asks.
"Yes." Bruce replies before hugging me and I hug him back.
"I'm gonna need more than that. We're on the hunt of an extremely dangerous man. This is life-and-death stuff. I need you to tell me that you are sure. Now, are you sure?
