"There she is." Chloe calls out and waves with Lois and Lana.
"Hey." I walk over to the lake while clutching the strap of my backpack.
"Hey. You okay?" Lana hugs me.
"Yeah." I pull away and I spot a small bandage on Clark's side.
"How are you?"
"I'm good."
"How's Margo?"
"She's fine. With her family today in New Jersey. So what's going on?"
"I was about to tell you guys that I just ran into Layton and Maya at the Inn and right out of nowhere, she asked if I would like to move back in at the house." Lois informs.
"Yeah, right." Miles scoffs. "Really?"
"I know, isn't that sweet? Oh, don't worry. You little snuggle bunnies can hop around all you want. I'm a heavy sleeper. I'm going for a dip." She walks off.
"Do you think she could sleep through me smothering her with a pillow?"
"Don't stay in the sun too long. You're going to get fried." Lana inquires. "You getting in?"
"No." I shake my head. "I got a World History paper due tomorrow. I'll be over there." I nod to the chairs.
"Okay." She rubs my shoulder before walking off and I head over to a chair, then sitting down.
"You okay?" Chloe joins me.
"Yeah, why?" I take out my laptop from my bag and open it.
"If you ever wanna talk about-"
"He's dead, Chloe." I start typing.
"Yes, he is. Because of you. You did was right and what was necessary. You stopped so many people from getting hurt. From dying. And I really hope that you know that." Chloe tells me and I continue typing. "And if you, um, if you ever wanna talk about Lex—" She cuts herself off. "You know, a certain someone has been staring at you so much that it's starting to get really creepy even for a guy like him."
"Good to know." I nod before crossing my legs under me.
"You guys still aren't talking? What happened?"
"Nothing happened. Go have fun, Chloe. I'll be done with this soon enough."
"You're getting in the water after, I'll drag you in if I have to." Chloe gets up and walks away.
