25. I'm Here For You

"What happened", Taehyung asked jin.

"When I rang his doorbell I got no response so I opened his door lock as I know the password, I got that from Jungkook in the past because he always pass out of his trauma. I found no one in the living room so I decided to go to the bedroom but", Jin paused to look at Taehyung's reaction and took a deep breath, and started again,

"But Jungkook was laying down between the pathway where glass pieces are scattered all over the place. H-His arm got injured by one of them and bleeding continuously, h-he was unconscious, I-I tried to wake him up b-but he didn't wake up so I called neighbors to help me and.....", Jin ended by dragging the word. He sighed heavily when he got no reply from Taehyung.

He guessed it.

Taehyung stumbled on a chair leaning forward and placed his palms over his head and stayed like that.

He should have been careful, he's so irresponsible, look what he did, because of him Jungkook is here. Only if he opened the door. He felt so guilty because he knows Jungkook's flat passcode, rather than being careless he should have checked on him. What if Jin doesn't visit Jungkook? He might have suffered to deat- no no what the fuvk he's thinking. Nothing is going to happen to his Jungkook. He'll be alright.

Time passed by, and Jungkook didn't get consciousness. Everybody was waiting for him. Namjoon visited them after having a little meeting as he can't cancel it. He feels so sorry about that but what can he do after all he's struck with this life. Jimin and Yoongi were already with them. Jin never left Taehyung's side, he has been sitting beside him and smoothly caressing his back as in a way to console him.

"The patient got consciousness, but he needs complete bed rest for a couple of days, so don't allow him to do anything that can stress him, he's too weak, please take care of him", the doctor informed Namjoon and left.

After hearing this everyone headed inside the room. There lay Jungkook with closed eyes.

Tears started to gather in Taehyung's eyes. He slowly placed himself in a chair which was beside the bed. He took Jungkook's hand in his and squeezed a little.

Jungkook opened his eyes and smiled a little when he saw everyone around him.

"Yay Jungkook-ah what happened, are you ok, do you know how much I'm worried, you careless piece of paper", that is the first thing that left Jin's mouth. Jungkook chuckled at the elder's concerned voice.

"I-I'm fine hyungie, it's just I got a nightmare and am exhausted, I tried to reach the kitchen to get some water but accidentally I fainted and I think I knocked out the flower vase which was why I got injured in my arm", Jungkook said while giggling.

"This isn't a joke feather", a deep voice startled Jungkook. He snapped his head towards the way the voice came and met with two bloodshot eyes of Taehyung.

Did he cry? Was the first question that pops up in his head. He completely forgets the elder's presence. Only now he felt that his hand is in the elder. He gulped hard.

"You know h-how much I worried for you, I'm s-sorry feather, I should have been careful, I left you alone i-in the morning", Taehyung said trying hard not to let his eyes. But failed miserably as a tear left his eye.

"No no no Tae, it's not your fault, please don't cry", Jungkook said and wiped the tears.

Oh my God, the elder indeed cared for him. Why he feels so warm in his heart all of a sudden?

"Tell him kookie, he never once stopped crying when he get here", Jimin complained.

Now Jungkook was feeling sad for Taehyung. He tried so hard to reassure the elder.

"Tae please stop crying it hurts to see you in tears", Jungkook doesn't know how those words left his mouth but he paid no attention to them.

After literally, being begged by Jungkook Taehyung calmed down.

Everyone talked with Jungkook and left after when Jungkook pleaded with them to leave and take some rest as they spent the whole day here.

Jungkook asked Taehyung to leave too but Taehyung being Taehyung never once left Jungkook. He feeds him and tucked Jungkook into his bed.

"I'm sorry", Jungkook said. Taehyung's hand which was caressing his hair stopped its movement. He stared at Jungkook and continued to caress him.

"For?", Taehyung questioned.

"For being a bother to you, and making you cry-", before Jungkook could complete Taehyung's finger placed against his lips.

"Shhh, don't talk, just sleep, did I ever tell you that you were a bother, I love being with you, I love you, when are you going to understand me, Yes I cried but it's not because of you but because of my carelessness, now stop talking and just sleep", Taehyung said and again continued to caress Jungkook.

"But Ta-"

"I said what I said, now sleep", Taehyung said with finality.

Jungkook smiled a little remembering every word of the elder. Taehyung loves him, but he? what he did? He did nothing but make the elder worried. He was so careless. He just can't give back the love that the elder deserves.

Yes, Taehyung said that he doesn't want Jungkook to love him back. But Jungkook feels so disappointed with himself. Why can he make anyone happy? What did he do to be like this?
What-

"Sleep feather", a smooth breezy whisper made Jungkook just out of his thoughts. When he opened his eyes he saw Taehyung was already looking at him with love filled gaze.

"Just sleep kookie, stop overthinking", Taehyung said patting Jungkook's head.

"Are you going to be here....with me?", Jungkook asked with hesitation.

Taehyung grinned wildly. His heart gets warmed when he heard Jungkook's words.

"Always", he said with assurance.

"Now sleep".

"I'm here with you", Taehyung said while caressing Jungkook's hair. He kissed the younger's crown with utmost love.

And that made Jungkook let a relieved sigh and with a contented smile, Jungkook unknowingly snuggled more into Taehyung's side and soon he fell asleep. He felt so safe and protected whenever the elder is around.
