You, Megumi, Nobara, Yuuji, and Gojo-sensei gather outside the dorm rooms the next morning. You are the only one (besides Gojo of course) who doesn't look completely miserable. You were fortunate enough to get a bit of a warning last night. The rest of the students had to deal with Gojo-sensei enthusiastically barging into their rooms at a very early 6 am and dragging them from their beds. You were also surprisingly able to get a few hours of sleep, so you stand ready and excited while the rest of the first years yawn and rub their eyes.

You look around at the group. This is your first outing as a crew. You can't help but smile at the sight of the five of you in your matching outfits. If you felt out of place before, you certainly don't now. You are a part of something big, no matter how unimportant you may feel. The five of you are a unit.

"So? Where to?" Megumi grumbles, a question he regrets the minute it's out his mouth.

"You'll see!" Gojo shouts. Everyone in the group jolts a little bit more awake. "We've got a long train ride ahead of us, so... you know what that means!"

Uh oh, you hope it's not reading because you definitely forgot to bring volume three of Magi...

"Fun bonding games!" he cheers.

Phew. The little kid inside of you smiles. You haven't had a big enough group to do these types of things with since... well, summer camp, and that didn't turn out very well for you. You're excited to try it with a group of people whose company you actually enjoy.

The train ride takes you about three hours north. The whole time the five of you crowd into one booth and rediscover the joys of entertainment before technology. Your new friends teach you Pin-Pon-Pan (a fast-paced game that tests your reflexes and consists of a lot of shouting) and you teach them your version of Concentration 64.

By the time you arrive at your destination, you may have de-aged a few years.

Gojo stretches as he steps out of the train. "Ah, I just love the countryside air."

"You love everything," Megumi mumbles.

"True."

A pleasant breeze surrounds you as you step out beside him. Once again, you find yourself in a  quiet rural town. The small village ahead of you is made up of short, patchwork looking buildings that have tons of historic charm. A wide field surrounds you on one side, and on the opposite side backing the village is a vast, lush forest. You're starting to think that it may be a while before you get to explore the big city part of Japan, but a part of you doesn't mind.

You follow Gojo-sensei's lead as he walks into the town.

The village reminds you a bit of Yanaka Ginza in the way that it presents itself, but it differs in that everything is a bit more spread out, and there are not so many shops as there are houses. You wonder how you must look, storming in as a crew in your matching uniforms, but no one pays any special attention to you. Actually, there is no one around to give you notice. It is relatively deserted.

Gojo strides comfortably ahead of you, his long legs making it easy for him to take the distance in half the time. Your feet struggle to catch up with him. For some reason, you feel like you have to be near him. It's like your body gets mad when he is a certain distance away. You try not to make it obvious, but after a bit, whether intentionally or not, Gojo slows down his pace to match yours. You steal a glance at him from the corner of your eye.

Gojo walks with his hands behind his head, his face slightly turned towards the sky. He smirks softly, almost as if he is daring anyone in the surrounding area to challenge him. Damnit, how does he always look so confident? Not only that, there is something about his aura that is different than anyone you've ever known... something, inhuman almost.
