You and Gojou walk through the dark capillaries of the underground chamber. You have left the treasure room behind and decided to go exploring. Gojo's light illuminates the path a few feet in front of you, but it doesn't do much to slow the trembles in your body. You're not afraid of the dark, but your primal instincts know when it's time to be on guard. You don't sense any curses, but that doesn't stop you from jumping at every shadow. You have to fight the strong urge to grip onto Gojo's arm.
"I hate to ask but... are there any curses nearby?" Your voice croaks in the dry air of the tunnel. "I mean... do you think that protective layer reaches all the way down here?"
Gojo pauses to inspect a narrow pathway adorned with strange markings. "Mmm I don't sense any," he says, "But there may be ghosts."
"Ghosts!?!" You look around in a panic. "You mean there's a difference!?"
He nods. "Now that I think about it, I've never fought a ghost. I wonder how I'd do..."
You gawk at him.
He grins. "Oh don't worry, I would probably win."
You shake your head and follow the bright fluff of his white hair through the dark. The tunnel you have chosen to walk down stretches even farther than you thought. From the looks of it, this underground labyrinth could cover the whole length of the forest. The room you landed in is starting to look more and more like some sort of last-ditch effort to preserve a disappearing race. Most of the rooms down here are so empty, not even a ghost would find themselves entertained. Some rooms are the size of small bedrooms, while others are so large they could be considered gymnasiums. To your relief, there are no traces of people anywhere; no bones lying about to tell the stories of those who lived.
You continue walking down the cryptic, twisting pathways, slipping through different openings, and looping back to the starting point. You've probably covered about 3 out of the 8 tunnels before you finally have the courage to ask, "So, Gojo-sensei, I've been wondering... Why do you wear the blindfold?"
He smirks. "Oh, this? You don't find it fashionable?"
You frown.
He laughs. "Let's say it's kind of like sensory insurance. My eyes are very sensitive you know? The blindfold helps to... lessen the overload."
"Oh, I see.."
That makes sense. It is so simple you don't know how you didn't think of it before. But wait... lessen the overload? Does that mean he's constantly flooded with information? If that's the case, what does the world look like to him? What do you look like to him? On top of that...
"That must be annoying."
"What's that?"
Oops, you didn't mean to say that out loud. "Well..." you continue, "Don't you find it a hassle to wear all the time? It's almost like you're gifted with this superpower and the world curses you for it."
"Is that how you see it? I thought it added to the allure of Gojo Satoru."
"Well..." He's not wrong about that.
"Does it bother you?" he says. "I can take it off if you'd like." His hand reaches for the top of his blindfold.
"No!!!" You scream. Before you can control yourself you run over to him and grab his arm.
He pauses, his hand hooked over the edge of the blindfold.
You stare at each other, his still masked eyes burning into yours. This is exactly what you've been wanting, a chance to see behind the mask, so why are you stopping him? "Uhm..."
