You wake up to the sensation of spinning and the feeling of loneliness. Your body is heavy, you are still getting used to its weight, and your eyelids battle against a bright force that threatens to burn its way straight through to your brain.

What's going on? What is this light? Have you been abducted by aliens?

You open your eyes and find the source: the sun. It streams in from a wide window to your right. There are no clouds to settle its force and your new eyes are feeling incredibly sensitive. You remember now, this is the first time that you are seeing it since that dreaded day of the cursed womb. No wonder it feels so bright. You think the sun must be a truly powerful thing, to affect the earth like it does.

As your eyes adjust, and you're able to look at that brilliant ball of light through somewhat squinted eyes, you are reminded of Gojo's heart. That is another light that has the power to change everything.

You sigh. Last night's memories begin to fill your temple. Gojo. The Koretoki clan. Gojo. Those first and last ones are especially warm. You allow yourself to bask in them for a bit before the questions come rushing in.

Everything Gojo told you, is it all true? About you, about your past? The power to see hearts... what does it all mean? And, more importantly, where the heck are you?

You sit up and rub your eyes.

You're in a bedroom. It's similar to yours, except that it's a bit simpler, and void of all your little personal touches. The view outside the window is also different, but you can tell that you are still at the school.

That's right, you had once again fallen asleep by Gojo's side. Part of you wishes you had stayed awake, you wanted that moment to last forever. But could you blame yourself? It was so cozy.

You're beginning to understand why you woke up feeling so lonely: the room is utterly empty. Where is Gojo? Did he drop you here and leave?

You begin to panic. What if he's gone off on another business trip? What if he's gone for a few weeks, or even longer? And you... nobody knows you're alive yet. Are you supposed to hide from them forever? What if there are still people out to get you? Who said now isn't as good of a time as any to strike again?

Oh, Gojo. You know you told him it was fine to go off and do his thing, but you really, really need him right now.

Dammit, these are too many emotions to be feeling in the morning.

You shift out of bed. You are still in your sweatpants from last night, so no surprises there. But what the heck?! He didn't even leave you a note.

Calm down. You're supposed to be the master of heart energy or something, right?

You decide you'll go for a walk, a walk always helps.

You stop by the bathroom to get a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and confirm what you've been wondering. Your own heart is invisible to you; you still look very much like yourself. Just a normal human. Maybe a bit stronger? It's hard to tell. You are relieved though, it would be too much to see that light every time you looked in your reflection. You'd probably end up staring for hours.

The walk is a good decision. As you step outside you temporarily put aside your worries to embrace the peculiarity of the world. Last night's revelations are made even more striking under the light of the day. All these sensations, you feel them as if you are experiencing them for the first time—the fresh morning air, the soft grass at your feet, the sweet summer sun on your face. You are even tempted to take your shoes off and walk barefoot, but you hold yourself back.

As you walk around, you are reminded of the walk you took on your first morning here. That day you had also woken up confused after falling asleep on Gojo's shoulder. You wonder, what were you thinking back then? Did you know what you had gotten yourself into? Were you prepared for the trials ahead? Certainly, you didn't see any of this coming.
