You wake up in your bed, the glow of the sun behind your closed eyelids is the same hue as the glow in your heart. Before you open your eyes, you take a moment to bask in this wonderful feeling. If all is right with the world, yesterday had been the best day of your life, if all is wrong with the world, you had just had a very, very, good dream.

You open your eyes. The soft morning light streams in through the large window, giving everything a soft glow. Immediately you recognize the wide wardrobe, the modern bookshelf, and the charming mirror; you are very, presently in your room at Jujutsu High. You smile. So it was all real, very, very real.

You take a big stretch and notice the soft cotton of your pyjamas hugging your body. That's weird, you don't remember changing into them. In fact, you don't remember anything after sitting down on those steps to watch the sunset. You look around the room for any indications of what transpired. Your clothes lay scattered about the floor, as you had left them after your mad dash out the door yesterday, and your suitcase remains sprawled open like an overflowing treasure chest. Your eyes trail to the desk at the foot of your bed. Your uniform lays neatly over the desk chair, and on top of the desk, is something else. You sit up and squint. Is that... a copy of Magi? You don't remember unpacking it.

You shift your tired legs off the bed and move lazily over to your desk.

Sure enough, there is your copy of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic Volume 1, sitting innocently on top. As you pick it up, something slips out from between the pages.

Odd.

You pick it up. It is a piece of paper folded one time. Your eyes are still blinking off sleep as you read the note.

What's your wish?

Me, I wish for... more fun times with my first years!

Your eyes jolt wide open, and your heart, the effervescent gymnast, does a backflip. All the presence of sleep drains from your body in an instant. You rub your eyes and read the note again, your heart speeding up every time you get to the end. Seeing your quirky teacher's name signed on the bottom in his childlike handwriting, for some reason makes your chest glow. And those hearts... You can't take your eyes off them, they seem to swell off the page and dance around you. What the heck is this feeling? The smile on your face grows, you can't help it. Calm down, calm down. A distant voice in your head says. You're embarrassing yourself.

No use.

You rip through your pile of clothes and find something comfortable to wear. You need to be outside, moving around, anywhere. Maybe what you're feeling is some leftover adrenaline from yesterday. Yes, that has to be it.

You step outside. As expected, the morning air feels wonderful on your skin. Your smile stretches wider across your face. Birds chirp all around you in a morning song. You wonder if the bird from yesterday is a part of it.

Yesterday... holy cow, it feels like a lifetime since you landed here.

You ignore the fervent need to skip and step into a brisk walk as you begin to familiarize yourself with your surroundings. You're not too sure where you're going. You never even checked the clock so you have no clue what time it is. The sun is a full circle in the distance, just risen over the line of the horizon. Funny to think that the last time your eyes were open you were watching it fall. You enjoy this feeling, going with the flow of nature.
