Ray POV
Just what i needed, a guys night out. Nothing is better than hanging with my bros. Tonight we're going to 'The Ill Zone'. We're in the car and i'm driving. The club is about 45 muntes away and we just left so we're in here for a while.
Drake's 'Started From the Bottom' had just came on and we were all rockin to the beat, rapping along with him but then Jacob turned down the radio, stopping our fun and killed the mood by asking a serious question
"Ray what's going on with you and my bestfriend?"
"I'm sorry but last time i checked Theresa was my bestfriend" Trey said defensively
"I'm not about to argue with you. Everyone knows that Theresa is my bestfriend"
"You just keep thinking that" Trey mumbled.
"Both of you need to stop..." Craig said "...because Theresa is my bestfriend" We all looked back at him. Me looking throught the rear view mirror. We gave him that 'Negro-Please' look. Jacob discarded Craig's in-put and continued.
"Anyway, what were you going to say?" He said
"I don't understand the question. Theresa and I are fine" i said
"Don't lie to us. You two barely said a word to each other all week"
"Yeah you guys are usually all over each other and inseperable but this week you barely said hi to each other. You could even see it in the partner work we did in dance this week. Arguing over who goes first in a cha-cha? Where they do that at?" Trey said
"Okay fine. Theresa and I are having a slight problem"
"Which is?"
"She won't let me help her"
All of thier faces went like...0.o...in confusion
"i don't get it. You two aren't speaking because she won't let you help her?" Craig asked
"Exactly"
"Ray think about it..." Trey started
"Wait before you go on Trey, What is it that you want to help her with?" Jacob asked
"Whatever it is that's going on at her house"
"Ray you and Theresa have only been together like 2 months. You can't expect her to just tell you everything off back. You have to let her ease her way into trusting you"
"But don't you think 2 months is enough time to learn to trust me?"
"I don't know, maybe she heard about your past Ray"
"What past?" Craig asked
"Ray wasn't exactly the perfect guy he so-called is now."
"Yeah. He was a dog!" Trey said followed by a hounding sound.
"Really? Rayquan Smith? Mr Mushy was a dog?"
"Yeah, ever since he found out that you-know-who did you-know-what to him he vowed never to love again"
"Who did what to him?"
"Don't say it..." I interupted
"Bahja" they both said
"Who's that?"
"Bahja is Ray's ex. They were in love" Jacob said being irritating. He drew a heart with his fingers and drew out the word 'love'. I gave him a death glare.
"But she broke his heart and since then he vowed never to love again"
"Yeah, she played him good. Cheated on him with almost the whole football team and half the basketball team"
