Ray POV
[Monday at shool]
We're in school right now. I'm sittin in class with absolutely nothing to do. Mr. Allen aint doing nothing with his life. He teaches the same thing over and over again. Then he gives us test on things he aint teach us. I looked at the clock and we had a whole half hour left. I bet your wondering what happened at the house huh? Well nothing much happened. We played Just dance since all the furniture was already out of the way. But then the power got cut off. It wasn't dark outside so we still had light. Then we played Monopoly. That's about it. And if your wondering, no Mickey did not play any games with us. She stayed on her phone the whole time. I knew it was to good too be true. But I think she might have something going on for Craig i don't know. I do know that i was wrong about Theresa. She's sweet funny and cool, unlike her cousins. She is nothing like them and I'm glad I gave her a chance.
This whole day though I've been getting notes and stuff saying stuff like 'I want to be your queen' and you know stuff like that. but i've already chosen my queen and I'm ready to ask her. I just don't know how. People also have been coming up to me because of Craig's party. They were trying to figure out who he was and stuff. I just told them he was my brother and they were cool with it.
[At Lunch]
Lunch came and I sat outside at my regular table. Craig had already began to become popular. Girls kept walking up to him giving him their numbers. He had a pocket full and it was only lunch time.
"Damn Craig how many numbers is that?" Trey asked
"um I lost count after 10"
"well damn."
" Yeah have you guys seen Mickey?"
"Look Craig, here's the thing. I don't know what was going on Saturday between you and Mickey but I'm pretty sure it aint there no more" Jacob explained to him
"Whatever do you know where she is?" he asked again
"If she's not over there then no" I said pointing to where her and her clique usually sits. He got up and went over there
"I don't know what he sees in her" trey said
"Me either"
"Hey Ray look, ther goes your girl" I looked up from my taco and saw Theresa. She had just gotten in the lunch line
"I'll be right back" I got up and walked up to her. I tapped her on her right shoulder and moved to the left so she couldn't see me. She looked to the right then to the left really confused.
"Oh hey Ray"
"Hey" there was an awkward silence "So whatcha doin?" I sound like isabella from Phineas and Ferb
"Um, getting something to eat." she chuckled
"Oh yeah duh."
"yup, so what's up?"
"Uh nothing much."
"Oh That's cool" She was about to pay for her food but the lunch lady wouldn't let her. Theresa insited that they let her pay. They did.
"What was all that aboiut?" i asked
"All what?"
"The lunch lady thing"
"Oh that. Well since I'm a so called 'Williams' the staff gives me special treatment. I don't feel comfortable doing things like that. Like she wouldn't let me pay, It would have felt like i was stealing so yeah i had to"
"wow"
"What?"
"you are nothing like your cousin"
"Thanks." We walked outside and she sat at the table with us."Hi guys!"
"hey Theresa" jacob and trey gave me a smirk. I just rolled my eyes. We sat and ate lunch. Then i noticed Craig hadn't came back yet
"Aye, where did Craig go?"
"He hasn't come back since he went looking for Mickey"
"ooh, Craig likes Mickey?"
"yup but he doesn't understand..."
"That Mickey probably doesn't like him back?" Theresa asked cutting him off
"yup"
"Well you never know." She said
She smiled and i knew this was the perfect time to ask her.
"Hey Theresa can i ask you something?"
"anything" I was about to ask her but i looked at Jacob and Trey being nosy. I looked at them and gave them that get-out-of-here look. They took the hint and left.
"okay so you know how i told you that my birthday was coming up?"
"You never told me that."
'Really? well my birthday is coming up"
"When?"
"january 6"
"Oh wow that's not to far away"
"i know."
"how old are you going to be?"
"16"
"Ooh it's your sweet 16. what are you going to do?"
"it's a big party at a club that my foster mom is renting out."
"Cool. What's your theme?"
"I'm the King"
"Oh i like it, wait is that the party everyone is talking about?"
"Yup"
"Cool" she smiled. Her smile made me so nervous
"Well, you know how every King needs a queen right?"
"Yeah?"
"Well in order for my plans to go right I need one."
"Okay?"
"I was wondering if you would want to be my Queen for my party" She looked at me
"Me? you want me to be your queen?"
"yeah. Why not?"
"i mean, you have all these other girls that want to be with you and you chose me?"
"Uh...yes?"
"okay."
"huh?"
"i said okay. i'll be your queen"
"Really?"
"mhmm."
"yes! Thank You so much" I reached over and gave her a huge hug. When I pulled back there was that smile again. I swear her smile has got me hooked. it was a clear sunny day and the sun was shining on her just right. It was so perfect that i kissed her
