Okay. Okay... Thanks for enjoying that with me. This chapter (in honor of finding these pictures) has a contactless Axel. First picture is basketball practice. Second is school. On to the story!
Axel's POV:
I groaned and grumbled when the Alarm went off. I surprisingly slept through the night with no issues. Grant moved behind me and shut the alarm off.
"Morning." He said in a sleep induced husky voice.
"Morning." I mumbled.
I sat up as he climbed out of bed. My eyes were burning a bit and I knew it's because it was time for me to throw these contacts away. "Hey?"
"Yeah?" He stopped just outside the closet.
"Do you know where my glasses are?"
"Yeah, Let me grab them."
I yawned and climbed off the bed, shivering at the cool floor. I went into the bathroom and used the toilet before washing my hands and brushing my teeth. I started styling my hair when Grant walked in. He handed me the glasses case.
"Here. Mind if I use the bathroom?"
"Once I take these contacts out, I can't see anyways. Not that I care." I shrugged. "Knock yourself out."
I took my contacts out, blinking rapidly before carefully slipping my glasses on. I checked my pod and made sure it was still in where I wanted it. Satisfied it was, I turned my attention back to Grant.
"I set your clothes on the bed."
"Okay, Thanks. How mad do you think Coach is gonna be with me and Jax?"
He let out a chuckle. "Considering your first game is tomorrow and you guys keep skipping out on practices, I'd say pretty mad."
"I feel like I'm gonna have to run suicides all practice."
"Well, you are a captain."
I made a face at him before leaving him to brush his own teeth. I quickly changed into the neon green boxer briefs, a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt, and a gray sweatshirt. I was pulling socks on when Grant came out of the bathroom.
"You know... I don't understand why you don't wear your glasses more."
"Why would I? I have contacts."
"Yeah but... something about your glasses. Gives you a soft nerdy cute look."
"Three things I don't think anyone has ever associated with me." I laughed.
