Axel's POV:

After Grant and I made up and I apologized profusely, we just talked about everything. He started asking me questions about things I've been hiding things from him for years, meaning one of my parents told him a lot of what has been happening with me. He knew about my scars not being an accident which he was really upset about. He knew about the voice I get in my head. All my fears. Some of my insecurities. A lot of things he wants to help me work on.

That was yesterday basically I was so doped up after that, that I just wanted to lay around and I watched what everyone else was doing. Through the night they were slowly stopping the morphine and had given me my first does of Vicodin this morning and were giving me a prescription with an unlimited refill incase I ran out before rehab was done and I needed more. They would be giving me that and discharge papers along with the date of my first rehab session when it was time for me to leave. At the moment Madison, Grant, and I were playing go fish. I was winning and had the most pairs and we were just laughing because instead of saying go fish we were being assholes to each other.

"Do you have any 3's, Grant" Madison said.

"No, bitch get to fishin'. " He said laughing.

I cracked up. Every time it started to get a little serious, one of us fucked it up by being annoying. My dads were just laughing while watching us. I think they were glad I was really happy for the first time in a few weeks. During our laughing there was a knock on the door and a Nurse came in the room. I thought we were going to get in trouble for being to loud but she just smiled.

"Someone's feeling better." she said with a laugh while she came over and did a final vital sign check. "Your heart beat is back to what it was before the surgery, which is good, cause now you can finally go home. You'll have to sleep with your leg propped up and unfortunately, you aren't leaving with just one brace on. As you see the brace they changed you to last night has your knee a little exposed so even with the gauze on it the doctor wants it more covered. So in addition the metal brace we are putting a cloth brace over it (Picture on side or above depending on what device you are using haha). So while I go get that you can get changed into clothes to leave in, I'll also get you the discharge papers." she explained. While she explained every thing she had removed my IV.

She left with a smile, and Grant stood up and went to his bag. He pulled out my clothes for me and I smiled seeing a pair of his shorts. He handed me the clothes and left the room. I pulled on the black t-shirt that said "I'm That Guy" after that's when I started to struggle. I couldn't bend my leg with he brace on so I was struggling to get my boxers on and knew getting my shorts and socks on was going to be a struggle. At this point I don't even think I will be able to get my sneaker on my left foot and I can bend that leg. I laid back with a loud groan and tried to stretch out the cramp in my side. The door opened and I looked over to Grant sticking his head in the door.

"Help..." I said with a whine. Pushing myself back into my sitting position.

"Figured when I heard you groan." He said stepping in the room with a laugh.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. very funny."

"Ehh, I try." He walked over and grabbed my boxers from me. He knelt down and put my right foot into the leg hole and then my left foot. He gently pulled them up to my thighs that were on the bed so as not to jostle my leg. "If I pick you up by the waist can you pull them up fully or could you push up with your left leg and your hands?" He asked.

I contemplated it and figured the first option would probably be easier and less likely to hurt. "The first one probably wont hurt."

He nodded and stood up leaning down he wrapped his arm around my waist and stood up. It was slightly painful going from my leg in a raised position to having it just hanging there. I winced and Grant whispered his apology while trying to move slowly. With only a little difficulty I was able to pull them up the rest of the way. We repeated this with the shorts and I was close to tears when we finally got my socks on.
