Axel's POV:

I was woken up as Grant climbed out of bed. I watched him through half open eyes as he went into the bathroom. I rolled onto my back and stared up at the ceiling. Grant came back in the room and walked into the closet. He returned and set something next to me on the bed.

"Hey, Baby, I have your pills and a change of clothes for you. Can you sit up for me?"

I blinked up at the ceiling.

"I know you don't really feel like doing anything right now, but if you get up and get moving you'll start feeling better."

"No."

"Axel, please."

"I don't want to."

"I know, Baby, I know. But you have to go to school, and we have to be at practice tonight."

"I said, no."

"I really don't want to force you to get up and get dressed, or to take your pills but I will if I have to. Please get up."

I let out a sigh and slowly sat up.

"Thank you." He held his hands out with a glass of water in one and my pills in the other.

I took the water and the pills, throwing them in my mouth and swallowing them down. I handed the water back and went to lay back down.

"No. We need to get changed and eat and get to school."

"You do it." I looked at him through teary eyes.

"Okay, I can do that. Am I putting your brace on too?"

I nodded.

"Okay, Arms up."

After I was dressed and had been forced to actually get out of bed, I used the bathroom and brushed my teeth before going downstairs where I sat down at the dinning room table. My father's walked out of the kitchen as Grant walked into it. I tensed as Grant walked out of sight.

"Hey bud, I gotta go to work. I will see you for dinner tonight." He leaned down and kissed the top of my head. "I love you. If you need anything call or text me, anytime okay?"

I nodded. "Love you too, Dad."

He gave me a smile before going to my Father and kissing him goodbye. My father sat down at the table with his breakfast.

"Hey, Love, you feeling any better."

I shrugged. "Not really. I'm not being a cry baby though so at least that's a step up."

"Don't do that. Sub Drop is a very common thing and everyone experiences it differently. You weren't being a cry baby. You are dealing with something that's really difficult. Grant had a chance after you fell asleep to talk with us and his parents about what you told him."

I sighed. "What part?"

"All of it."

I cracked my neck. "Great."

"It's okay. I'm glad all of this is coming out now when we can all help. Why didn't you tell anyone you felt the way you do?"

"Feel like what? Gray and Numb?"

"That. How you feel about being touched, how you've been suicidal for who knows how long, how Grant's the only one that helps combat those feelings?"

"Because it didn't matter."

"It did. It does. You looked Maddi in the face and told her you wanted to be normal and then that you wanted to die. You told Jaxon you wanted to stop breathing. You told Grant that you have to convince yourself to make it a few more hours so you can see him again."
