Chapter 6: Dangerous?
(Aris POV)
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!" I yelled sliding away from the figure. "DID YOU MAKE HER KISS THAT DWEEB?! DID YOU KILL MY GRANDMA?!" The figure stared at me blankly. I sighed, "You can't speak, can you?"
I grabbed my knees and pulled them to my chest. "Stop bugging me please... Unless you can heal my foot." It moved to my ankle and cupped it in its hands. "What are you doing...?" I said sitting up. Everything suddenly became inverted and bright, then... It was gone. The pain in my foot was gone! Even the bruises we're gone! I scoffed, "How did you do that?!" It gave a small bearly visible smile.
I looked back at my ankle again shocked. "Is there anyway you could take me back to my house?" I asked. It nodded and turned around. I got on its back then wings suddenly appeared from underneath the skin. "Oh no," I said right before we shot up in to the air. I screamed out with my Acrophobia. Clinching onto it's back we did turns and flips. After about a minute of being in the air and screaming my lungs out we arrived.
"This is my grandmas backyard," I said turning to it. It crawled onto the dock hovering over the small pond. "So you're like a demon, entity, figure, giant thing?" It turned around. It blinked and gave that same small smile again. I smiled back, "My name is Aris, Aris Simon." I held my hand out for it to shake, then his stomach grumbled. "Oh gosh, you're hungry." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a smashed up Twinkie still in the plastic. "Ew," I though. It looked like a muched up smoothy. Unravelling it, I gave it to him. He scanned it for anything suspicious then shoved it in his mouth quickly swallowing it. He sniffed me for more food but I had none.
Suddenly, it pushed me into the water and hovered over me. When I was under water, all I could think about was, "I CAN'T SWIM I CAN'T SWIM I CAN'T SWIM I CAN'T SWIM!" I never realized how deep this pond was. I kicked and swung my arms hoping to soon rise up to the surface but my kicking only sunk me even more. After a few second's, I could feel the slimey wet mud beneath me. I kicked up trying not to pass out. Just as I gasped for the surface, the strange figure pulled me out of the water and set me down on the dock. I took a few deep breaths just laying there as the figure stared at me. "What the hell was that?!" I yelled, "I could've drowned! I can't swim!" He stared at me fascinated.
As I was laying down in my wet clothes I started realizing why he may have done that. He obviously can't communicate with me so he is testing things out on me as a way of communication, this one being swimming.
"I gotta get home now, don't want my dad finding out I snuck out," I expressed. He gave the same blank face. I sat up and said, "Dad, you know, your parents, the ones who created you?"
"Dad," he repeated. "I know you have parents, you wouldn't be here without them... Unless... You weren't... Real," I trailed off.
I stood up and said, "I gotta get home now, you can stay here." I knew he wouldn't though, he was like a puppy attracted to his mother for more milk, only it's a demon figure attached to a teenage boy.
He followed me all the way home too. I guess it's nice having someone who follows and cares about me for once.
~Time skip~
As I was walking up to my house, I could hear his foot steps behind me.
"You have to go home to where ever you came from," I said, "You can't be here anymore, it was nice talking but I think I'm better off without you." Just as I was about to climb back up my ladder, something happened.
"Aries!"
I stopped and turned around, "What did you say?" "Aries!" he repeated. I gasped, "You can speak?!" I scoffed and laughed, "My name isn't Aries, it's Aris!" "Aries!" he kept repeating. He gave a smile, not like the ones before, a true smile. I smiled back.
