I know that it's been quite a while since I last updated this story and because of an understandable request, I'm going to give you a brief reminder of what's previously happened in the story and where it's going!

The school year for Addie and Niall ended, so they planned to take a visit to Ireland during the summer to meet with Niall's brother, Greg. Greg is a sorcerer (Niall revealed this when Addie explained that she was part sorceress) and Addie figures that he could be an asset in her plan to basically take down Gemma (for murdering people and being completely psychotic; and Addie wants to avenge Zayn's death).

Right now, it's a bit confusing because Harry is acting strange (he's not himself), and that'll be explained later. Being in Ireland is difficult for Addie because she knows that Cecilia (her not-blood-related cousin) lives there. Remember, Addie erased her family and friends' memories of her from their minds, because she didn't want them connected to her if things ended badly and Gemma overpowered everyone. If you're a Harry Potter fan, this is similar to when Hermione erased herself from her parents' minds to protect them from Voldemort/ death eaters (in the movie at least; the book was slightly different).

Imagine finding out that your family isn't connected to you through blood, though you had believed that for around eighteen years, and then you have to bring yourself to erase their memories of you in order to protect them; you would be leaving the life you knew, the life you were comfortable with, the life you never expected to change so drastically in a short amount of time. It would be overwhelming and terrifying (you know, depending on how much your family means to you).

If the whole driving-the-stake-through-Gemma's-heart thing was confusing, remember that Gemma is not only a sorceress, but a vampire as well (a vamporess) and if the stake doesn't kill her, it will significantly weaken her.

Throughout these last few chapters, Addie has been struggling with the loss of Zayn because he had been changing for her, and that was seriously difficult considering the fact that he was frightened of losing her. The curse he was burdened with was deadly, and this is also a reason why Gemma is on the hate list (because she created the curse). He didn't allow himself to love, and when he was finally realizing that he could, in fact, love...Gemma killed him. The love Addie felt for Zayn has been the power behind her desire to end Gemma and somehow bring Zayn back.

Raise your hand if you ship Addie and Niall! I actually would if it wasn't for the connection Addie and Zayn have (or had). I loved their bickering and Zayn's hesitance; he was new to everything, and Addie helped him find who he was.
