"I feel kind of sick, Zayn," Adelaide's face slowly paled and gave off a greenish tint, her eyes were glossy, and the amount of breaths she took increased rapidly.
"I would appreciate if you would so kindly cease from vomiting all over my car."
Adelaide shot me a glare of irritation and I sighed.
"Sorry," I told her softly.
I pulled my car over onto the side of the road; luckily, there was not any traffic tonight.
The flight home had been later than we thought it would be. Many flights had already been full, so we ended up taking a later flight back to England: seven-forty-five at night. Adelaide had a slight headache before the flight, and now it seems as though she has caught a virus.
"We will be at your home in less than half of an hour," I explained to her.
"Can you make it there?" I inquired.
She nodded without saying a word and I shifted into drive just as she held out her hand and requested that I stop.
She opened the car door in one swift motion and jumped out. The sound of her vomiting was disgusting and saddening. A moment later, she returned to the car with a faint and queasy expression on her face. She reached into her jeans' pocket and retrieved gum, slipping it into her mouth quickly.
"Water?" She asked me with a groggy voice.
I stepped out of the car and opened the door to the backseat where I occasionally kept water bottles. I reached forward and handed her one before shutting the door and settling into the driver's seat once more.
She sipped the water carefully and put the cap back on before speaking to me.
"You could've just reached back there from where you are now."
She offered a weak yet teasing smile and I shook my head whilst smiling back.
"Ready?" I wondered. S
he nodded her head and I stared at her.
"Are you certain?" She nodded again and I began to continue our drive to her place.

Adelaide settled comfortably into her bed as soon as she took a long shower, brushed her teeth and drank ginger-ale to calm her stomach. She reached over to her bedside table for a book, but I took the book away from her reach and shook my head.
"You need to rest."
She sighed in defeat and I set the book back onto the table.
"Stay here?" She pleaded quietly.
"Okay," I murmured.
I smoothed her wet hair down and hesitantly leaned forward. I could not resist this simple gesture.
I felt her heart beat faster as I placed my lips on her forehead, kissing her delicately. I pulled away nimbly and turned around, preparing to leave her bedroom. The amount of pleasure that was brought to me was mystifying.
"Zayn," she cried my name once and I spun back around.
"Yes?"
"I, um..." she blushed and I tilted my head slightly to one side.
"Everything all right?"
She blinked a few times and smiled nervously. "I meant...would you stay here? Beside me?"
