Harry's P.O.V.
Filthy fingernails caked with dust, soot, ashes, and insects claw at me, begging to return to the human world with my soul, yet I can't find my way back. I am confined by the restraints of creatures I hadn't known existed. All of the stories, legends, folk songs, and novels don't do them any justice; they are far beyond what anyone could've predicted.
Far more intelligent. Far more adaptive. Far more conniving and mysterious.
Salty tears wash over the grime stuck to my face like chewing gum beneath school desks, and I tug on my curly hair to release chunks of dried up mud that had collected throughout my time in this prison. I can't remember when or how I came here; all I know for certain is that I need to somehow find a way out.
My body serves as a host for these creatures, but I need it back. What does my younger sister, Addie, think? What does my mum think? Have they noticed that I've changed, or rather, that I've been controlled? Replaced?
It's all so strange, because I can sense when someone I care about is near my body, but I can't reach out to them. I wish I knew why he chose my body. Why he's pretending to be me.
Did my eldest sister, Gemma, set this up?
Or is this just a fragment of someone else's malevolent scheme?

Louis' P.O.V.
"Why did that human contact you? Do you normally associate yourself with their kind, other than to serve as their predator?" He questioned me about the subject once more, and I found myself becoming more irate by the seconds that inched by. "For the last damn time, no, I do not. You met her before, Liam, when you were just newly created by me. It appears that she is only concerned about her elder brother," I replied scornfully with a roll of my eyes.
"Who's her brother?" He wondered with curiosity and perplexity. "You know, I thought I'd somehow grow accustomed to your endless amount of questions over these past two years, but I've actually grown to absolutely despise them even more," I snarled in exasperation. Liam refused to respond as he turned away from me, crossing his arms as he stared out beyond the cerulean, rippling waters of the Nile.
As the silence gradually became more prominent, I reluctantly decided to apologise. "I am sorry, Liam. I know your past was quite confusing, and that is why you have always been eager to draw in information. I will explain as time goes on. All you need to know for now is that we have a new mission..." I trailed off, knowing he would be inclined to ask for further clarification regarding this news.
"Something is wrong with Addie's brother, Harry, and we're going to find out what and why," I declared anxiously as my scarlet irises flickered to Liam's twitching hands; he fidgeted when he was desperate for something, and in this case, it was the desire for adventure. Though I usually found myself keen on the idea of chasing down fellow supernatural beings, this one bothered me.
Because I could already guess what was wrong with him.
And a confirmation of that speculation frightened me.
