A Shadow's Diamond

Chapter 11

Diamond and Shadow walks back to Tails' place while carrying their drinks. They are happily in a conversation about something that is only known to them about their lives and what it has been like since after the Ark. Diamond has found out that Shadow is working for the same agency that he swore to defeat. Shadow has found out that Diamond is working on a counseling company for those who need it. They find out more and more about each other as they reach the door.

Petal swings open the door, "Shadow! Diamond! You guys have returned!"

Diamond rubs Petal's head, "Of course, sweetie. Are you guys ready to go home?"

"We are leaving already?" Petal pouts.

"We have too, we can't stay here because this isn't home. Now go get Auntie Ray and Olympia as well as your sister." Diamond says with a smile.

Petal nods slowly and walks into the building.

Diamond looks at Shadow in the eyes and smirks, "Good luck on your hang out tonight, hopefully it goes well."

Shadow nods, "You have a good time in going home."

"Oh, I will." Diamond smiles.

Petal remerges with Snow, Ray, and Olympia who is waving bye to everyone inside of the building.

Diamond looks at the group before her, "You guys ready to go?"

Petal and Snow nods as for Ray is already texting someone and Olympia is drinking a cup of water.

Diamond waves bye to Shadow as she begins leading the group home.

Shadow watches everyone follow Diamond as he turns to go into the building. Once he got into the building, he is met with Amy is texting someone, Sonic and Tails talking about something that Tails is inventing, and Silver is making something float. He walks into the building and sits down next to Silver.

Silver looks at Shadow, "How was hanging out with Diamond?"

"It was fine, we met someone new." Shadow says while frowning.

"Doesn't seem like you are excited in meeting the new person." Silver raises an eyebrow.

Shadow looks down, "This woman is someone who is my type, but I am not sure on how to go about it. I met her today, but I have no knowledge of dating. Diamond is going to be helping me though."

Silver smiles, "As long as your old friend is helping you out."

Shadow nods as he thought about Diamond helping him out with dating someone. He wonders what kind of things that will be taught, it will be a whole new experience for him. He soon snaps out of it by Sonic staring at him.

"Hey Shad~" Sonic gives the darker hedgehog a toothy grin.

Shadow looks over at the blue hedgehog while becoming annoyed, "What?"

"No need to be harsh, I am just seeing on how you are." Sonic continues on grinning.

"Everything is fine, I am going to be out tonight though. If you need me for anything, don't call out for me." Shadow walks over to the front door and opens it. He leaves the house before closing it.

Sonic loses his grin, "What's his deal?"

Silver and Tails shrug.

Shadow rides his motorcycle to the agreed spot that Blade had said to meet at. It only took 6 hours for him to wait for 11:30 pm. He keeps his sight on the road before coming to a stop at the agreed park. The ride to the park was nice and silent. No one bothering him and he can clear his head after the very eventful day with Diamond and the others. He got too much information for 1 day and needs to relax from it. He looks behind him to see a red motorcycle riding up to him. He sees Blade driving it.

Blade looks over at Shadow, "Sup nerd, ready to go?"

Shadow glares at Blade before nodding.

"We are going to a festival that has the race in it. Are you aware that there are Mobians that can speak more than 1 language?"

Shadow shook his head, "I am not aware of them."

"That is how rare they are. They are all gathering at the plaza for the festival. Now lets go, I have to meet my girlfriend there. She is one of the belly dancers." Blade starts driving off.

Shadow soon follows her. Another one who has a girlfriend.
