Fuck this shit. Why am I the only one who constantly has to face her past? It's not fair. I ran upstairs to Jamie's room and woke him up. "Jamie, I found a new letter, wake up!" he groaned but opened his eyes.

"Where?" he asked in his sleeping voice. I didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable in his own house so I lied. I had to lie, for his sake.

"It was under my bed. Dad knew I never clean there, so it was a good place to hide." I just hoped he believed it. He straightened himself and sat up in bed.

"So, let me read it." I handed him the letter and waited patiently until he finished.

"So, dad hid one million dollar, while knowing they were coming after us, and still he wouldn't tell us where it is? That's just a dick move." I could tell he was really mad. I had to agree with him though, why wouldn't he just tell us where it is? But then I thought about something.

"But Jamie, what if we hand them the one million dollar and they kill us. We have to be prepared for that. You never know this things with these people." He nodded his head in agreement.

"That's why I don't want you to go in there. It can be more dangerous than you think it'll be. What if you have to do some kind of missions or something? What if you have to kill someone? I know you can't, and you shouldn't. I am afraid Chloe, I am afraid of your life."

I wondered about the same things he does, but I have to do this. I have to take the chance to find the killer. I just have to. Jamie understands, I know he does. But he is my big brother, he loves me. He doesn't want to see me hurt, but he know just as well as I do that I will get hurt. There is no way I am going to get out of this without any sacrifices.

"Jamie, you know I have to do this. Will you support me or not?" I knew I was being harsh right now, but I just had to know.

"Of course, I will always be there with you. No matter what." That's what I wanted to hear. I smiled and walked to my room. I was getting ready for tonight. I have to break in by Rebecca. You didn't really think I was going to talk to her? I am just giving her a piece of her own fucking cake.
~

The night quickly came and around ten o'clock I left the house. I was dressed in black and looked like a real criminal. I had to be careful, but I knew I had to do this. I honestly think this is the most fun one to do. This is the perfect time to get her back.
I arrived at her house ten minutes later and I saw, for my luck, her window standing open. We used to climb the tree that led to her room when we were younger so I did the same this time. I made sure not to make too much noise, and successfully landed in her room.

The pink colors pained my eyes. She was always the girly girl. I searched around her room, not knowing where I should look. Then my eye fell on something blue under her bed. My pony was blue. I crawled under the bed and grabbed it. Gotcha! I had it!

I already started to walk away when suddenly the door opened and Rebecca was coming in. She was kissing some boy, so I took that of my advantage and rushed to the window. Before I could get out of it, she saw me and screamed. "Nick, there is a thief in my room! Stop him!"

Oh, I am so fucked. I quickly got out of the window before he could reach me. I sat on the tree and looked up. "Ha, now you can't get me." I said and stuck my tong out. I know, really mature. When I heard a sound of something breaking I looked down. The branch was about to break, so I quickly crawled to another one.

Nick came after me, and when he sat on the branch, it broke and he fell down. Luckily for him, he didn't break any bones. I laughed my ass of and made my way down. I looked up one more time, to see Rebecca looking at me with a knowing look on her face. This is really bad. I had to go home, now.

I ran through the dark, but at some point I fell over a stone and twitched my ankle. I screamed in pain and sat down. It was already really dark and I couldn't help but be a little bit scared. I carefully got rid of my shoe and inspected my ankle. It was beginning to swell and when I touched it, it hurt like hell.

Suddenly, there was a light on the street. A car was driving by, and when the driver saw me, he stopped and got out of the car. It was Elliot. "Chloe, what are you doing here?" I was a little bit suspicious. Isn't it strange that right after I leave from Rebecca, Elliot shows up?

"I was just walking and fell over a stone. I twitched my ankle and it hurts like hell. Can you help me to stand?" He nodded and pulled me up. He helped me by putting his hand around my waist, and I stumbled with him to his car.

"Why are you walking alone at this hour?" he asked with concern in his voice.

"I couldn't sleep. I just needed to clear my mind, no big deal." He pulled me closer to him and stared in my eyes. I didn't know why, but my heart began to race.

"You know there are people who want you dead right? You shouldn't walk alone, especially not in the dark. Next time, just call me. I will always be there." He was just being sweet, and I appreciated it, but there was something not right. I could just feel it.

Did they talk about me in Criminal Minds?
If not, then how did he know people wanted me dead?

"What are you doing here at this hour?" I asked him.

"Oh, nothing special. I just searched for something important." Could he be talking about the money? I knew he wanted to find it too.

"Is it something that was important for you?" I asked. Trying hard to not sound too curious. He seemed to think about his answer, but after a while he replied.

"Yes, it is really important I get it back. It is worth a lot." I knew it! He talks about the money. "But I am trying hard to get it back. I already lost it one time, and I am not losing it again." He continued while staring at me. Maybe he isn't talking about the money, but about something else. Or someone.

I liked Elliot, very much, but there is something not right. He is hiding something, I know it. So the only thing I did was blush a little and look down.

He turned away from me, and started the car. The care ride was silent, but I didn't mind. He brought me home, and I thanked him with a hug. "Thank you for taking care of me." I said, and kissed him on the cheek. He immediately blushed and turned around.
I smiled in myself, he was so cute.

I walked to the steps of the door and waved one more time at him. When I closed the door, I stumbled to my room.

If I waited a little bit longer, I would've seen Elliot still standing there, with a hand on the cheek I just kissed.
