It was Mark, Elliot's dad. I haven't seen him in two years, but he hasn't changed a lot. He was never fond of me, so I was more than glad we were disguised. He looked at us, his gaze going up and down.
"Names" he said in a monotone voice.
"Samuel Greyson and Samantha Sherrington." Charlie said, and his voice was a little bit lower than usual. I needed to get used to this.
"Age" Mark asked in the same voice. This was so boring, I didn't even know that was important, seeing Elliot is only seventeen and already a member.
"We are both twenty one" I answered him in an annoyed voice. He looked at me with narrowed eyes and I felt Charlie nudging my side.
"Come in." he said. I expected this to be a lot more difficult, but it wasn't. Before we could enter the house, a boy from around the twenty came up to us and inspected us on weapons. He took away the gun and the knifes we had with us. After that was done, he smiled up to us and introduced himself.
"Hey, I am Nathaniel, but you can call me Nate." He extended his hands for us to shake. We both said our names, but he held my hand a little longer than was necessary.
"I am your 'guide' here. You will train here a lot of days, and you will learn to get along with weapons. But, before you start, there is one mission you need to complete to gain our trust. Don't worry, if you are really tough, there is no need to be afraid. Well, there is if you hate killing people, but why the hell would you join a gang if you don't want to do that?" he said while erupting in laughter.
I swallowed slowly, knowing this was one big messed up place. I hated blood and death, and everything that has to do something with that. This was harder than I thought. Nathaniel seemed like a nice buy though, I wondered what his story was. He seemed a little too nice to join a gang, but I wouldn't know anything about it.
"Sam, would you follow us?" Nate asked me, clearly seeing I spaced out a bit.
"Yeah, of course." I replied, and he chuckled a bit.
"First time in a gang I suppose?" he whispered to me. Was it that obvious? I silently nodded at him and he grabbed my hand.
"No need to worry, I will help you." I didn't like how he invaded my personal space so soon. I barely know him for an hour. I pulled my hand back and threw him a grateful smile. Charlie didn't notice what happened, but I didn't need him to. He was too buzzy admiring some of the member shooting. They all hit the rose, no one missed. These people were dangerous, and I just remembered something.
If they all can shoot that well, how will we go out of this mess after our plan worked?
~
"So, your first mission to proof you are worthy of our gang is to kill someone. We will not tolerate weak people, this gang is made for the strongest only. If you aren't willing to do this, you might get up and leave now, but you will be shot for sure. We don't let people go, if they join us, they will stay, or they will die. It is your choice"
Me and Charlie shared a scared glance at each other before I decided to cut the act.
"We'll do it." I was acting tougher than I was, but that didn't matter. Charlie looked hesitant, but when he saw my expression he agreed.
Mark's face broke into a sly grin, and he looked at us as if we were his food. It was really disturbing.
"Let the fun begin." He chuckled a bit, and called Nate in.
"Nathaniel, bring these two to the house of Lydia and Moose, it's their first job." He said with a wink. Nathaniel's eyes lightly widened before going normal again. What was up with these people?
Charlie and I followed Nate out of the house and into the car. There, he gave us two guns and a pocket knife. He turned towards me and Samuel."There will be people watching you, so you have to be careful what you say. Lydia and Moose are one of the many enemies we have, and they are not easy to kill. You two can get shot even before you can come close to them, and that's why I am going to cover for you. I will distract the guards, while you go upstairs and killed them. Do you understand?" he asked.
He was just begin nice, helping us out. I know for sure that isn't Mark's plan, but it seemed like Nate couldn't care less.
We both nodded, and got ready to kill. This is so not my cup of tea.

When we arrived at the house, my mouth fell open. It wasn't even a house, it was a mansion! This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to find those two people in such a big house? That was just mission impossible.
"You have got to be kidding me" I heard Charlie mutter under his breath, along with a lot of curse words. He came to the same conclusion as me, there is no way in hell we are going to make it.
"Nate, how do you expect us to find them in this castle?" I hissed, while looking at him.
"I don't know, that's your problem. The only thing I know it that they are at the top of the house, in the first room. I can't guarantee you will find them easily, but if you don't do it, you will be killed instantly, so I guess there is no choice for you two." He looked genuinely sad, and I appreciate his worry, but that didn't help us now.
"It's time, you have to go, now!" Nate told us. We got out of the car, and I looked back to see Nate doing his job. He distracted the guards by letting an alarm go of on the other side of the house. That was a smart one.
We carefully entered the house, and when I saw there was nobody, I sighed in relieve. But that relieve quickly faded as five other guards came walking our way, all with guns in their hands.
"Oh bloody hell." I cursed. I grabbed my gun and held it in front of me, pointing at one of the guards. Charlie was nowhere to be found. Great, what a friend. I tore my gaze away before shooting the first guard, but he was already on the ground.
Charlie had killed him.
The four other guards were down rather quickly, and he grabbed my hand screaming: "We need to find them, let's go!"
This was going to be one hell of a fight, and I didn't know if that was supposed to be good.
Oh god, what have I gotten us into?
