Charlie and I ran through the halls, with a couple of guards running after us. They shot in our way, but we managed to dodge every singe one of them. I was scared the bullet would hit me, so I held on to Charlie's hand as strong as I could.

"We have to find them, before the guards come closer!" Charlie screamed at me and all I could do was nod. I was getting out of breath and I couldn't hold on much longer.

When we arrived at the second floor, I couldn't run anymore. "Charlie" I breathed. I stopped running to catch my breath. "I can't go any further." Charlie looked at me and smiled.

"Do you trust me?" he asked, and I nodded. I trusted him with my life.

"Good." and with that said, he picked me up, and threw him over his shoulder. He ran towards some rooms in the house and walked into a random one. It was almost fully black.

"I am going to leave you here, and finish them off alright?" My eyes widened and I began to protest

"Charlie, you can't leave me alone!" I whisper yelled.

"Yes, I can. You will get killed if you come with me, so stay here. I swear to god Chloe, don't leave." he looked at me with anger and determination in his eyes, and I just couldn't disagree.

"Okay." I softly whispered. His face softened a little, and he pulls me in a hug.

"I love you Chloe, no matter what."

"I love you too Charlie, now go!" I shooed him away.

He said he loved me a lot of times before, but I just couldn't help but think that this time, there was a bigger meaning behind it.

The wait for Charlie was long and it was killing me. I didn't know if he was alive or dead, and it was eating me from the inside. I needed him here, he couldn't just leave me.

The door began to move a little, and my breath hitched in my throat. I pulled back into the darkness and waited for the person to go away.
The door fully opened, and a man walked in. When the light fell on his face, I recognized him. It was Nathaniel.

"Nate." I hissed. "What are you doing here?" He snapped his head in my direction and his eyes widened.

"I didn't see you on the cameras anymore, so I thought something happened and went searching for you. I am so glad you are okay!" He exclaimed. He walked towards me and pulled me in a quick hug.

I hugged him back and smiled, but that smile faded when I thought about Charlie.

"Nate.. Have you seen Samuel somewhere?" I asked with a trembling voice. He couldn't be gone, I know he was here.

"No.. I didn't" I could see the sad look in his face, but I wasn't giving up.

"Then we should look for him!" I grabbed my gun in front of me, and began to walk to the door very carefully.

Nate followed behind me, also a gun in his hand.

"Let's do this."

We walked to the halls again, only to see no one. Well, no one who was alive, because there were plenty of dead guards lying there. The sight of so much blood together made me choke my own spit, and vomit began to rise.

Nathaniel noticed this and dragged me away from the bodies.

"You need to learn how to react to blood, otherwise you don't stand a chance in this gang" he said. I knew he was right, it was just hard.

My whole life, I never could stand seeing blood. I don't know when it started, but I just can't see so much blood. It makes me feel sick and ready to vomit.

Yes, very ladylike, I know.

Nathaniel led the way to the room of Moose and Lydia, and when we arrived, I was shocked to see their dead bodies lying there. And they were not alone, because right next to them was Charlie, lying in his own blood.

I rushed over to him, to check his pulse. Luckily, he still breathed, but he had a shot wound in his stomach. I didn't care about the blood anymore, I needed to stop the bleeding.

Nathaniel searched the room for something to put on the wound, and came up with a jacket that belonged to Moose.

"Put this on the wound, we need to get him outta here, before it's too late." He lifted Charlie up, and I could only stand there, watching him.

"Are you going to help me or not?" Nate snapped at me. I know he didn't mean it that way, but he had to cary my best friend for god's sake! That's a lot of work because of all his muscles.
I quickly helped Nate, and after fifteen minutes, we managed to get Charlie out of the house safely. He was still breathing, but it seemed like he was unconsious.

He looked so peaceful, but so helpless at the same time. I never should have let him go on his own, I had to stick by his side. Now, he may be dead because of me, and I couldn't stand the though of not having him around.

He was stronger than this. I knew he was. He always got up after a fight, and I know for a fact he's been stabbed before. But now, this bullet had really made a whole in his stomach, so it concerned me to no end.

I couldn't lose him, not like this. He is way to good to die so soon. He still has his life ahead of him, he didn't even start it.

"Don't you dare to die on me Charlie!" I whispered in his ear. I saw a very small smile appear on his face, and I knew it was going to be alright. I hoped so.

He had to survive, no matter what.
