Chloe pov.

Elliot is late. I wanted him to come over, so we could just hang out and bond like old times. But if he is any later, I don't want to go anymore. He said he had something planned for us, although I don't know what.

It is hard for me to just chill and relax, outside of my investigation. That's why I think this is going to do me well. At least, I hope so.

A second later, I heard a knock on my door. Finally! I opened the door before Jamie could reach it, and pulled him into a hug.

"What took you so long?" I asked, looking him in the eyes. He just smiled and pulled me in a hug again.

"I ran into Charlie on the way, so I stayed and talked to him for a bit. Do you mind?" he let go of me and looked at me with a unreadable expression in his eyes. Like I was something precious, that nobody can touch, but him.

I loved this look. I wanted to see him happy every day. I still suspected him, but not so much as in the beginning. It felt good. It felt alright. I didn't know what I felt, but I knew it was a good feeling.

He still held my waist, and when I noticed that, I began to shift uncomfortable. He saw what I was trying to do, and let go of me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't pay attention." I just shrugged and laughed it off.

"There is nothing to be worried about! So, what did you plan?" I was really curious about it. He said it was something I never have done before.

"Right! That's a surprise. Just wait and see." We walked to his car and motioned for me to follow him. I called 'goodbye Jamie!" to my brother, letting him know I was gone.
I think I have an idea where he is taking me, but I don't know for sure. Half an hour later, we stopped by some indoor thing.

"Elliot, what is this?" he smirked and put a hand around my waist.

"This, my friend, is indoor ice skating!" Oh no.

He knows this is one of the things I fear the most. Really. I hate it! I can't stand a minute on those things. But I am willing to try. He took me here for a reason, so I guess I just have to go with it.

"It is going to be fun. Relax, live a little. I'll be by your side the whole evening." He said, reassuring me. He grabbed my hand, and together we walked into the building.

After we had all out stuff, we walked up to the lawn. It was a big circle, and luckily, there were not many people. That way, I couldn't really embarrass myself.

"Okay, I will be here for you. If you fall, I catch you."

"That's a little bit corny, don't you think?" I nudged his shoulder and laughed. He became red but laughed also. I took my first step on the ice, and I immediately fell.

Elliot laughed his butt of, pointing at me. I just lay there, on the cold ice, looking up.
I noticed something. There was a big bright lamp that reminded me of the sun. It brought light in the darkness of this building. Wait a minute... "Make sure you create full darkness." Full darkness.

If you put out a lamp in a dark room, there is nothing but darkness. But, then is the next question, what is the light in my dad's life? I should wait until midnight and then look at every lamp in the house, trying to find something suspicious. Jamie needs to help me.

I didn't realize I still laid there, until Elliot kneeled by my side.

"Chloe? Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?"

"No, I am fine Elliot. Don't worry, I just realized something." I replied. "Can I ask you something?" I said, while I stood up.

My whole body was cold from the ice but I didn't mind. "Of course, what is it?" I should ask this, before it is too late.

"Do you know who killed my dad? You say you didn't do it, and I believe you, but who did it then? I mean, you are in a gang. So I suppose it is normal to kill people." I nervously stood there, fuddling with my jacket.

He grabbed my face and looked me in the eyes. "If I knew, I would tell you. But I don't, and I am so sorry Chloe." His green eyes sparkled in the light, and my deep blue eyes looked back at him with much sadness.

"I believe you" I whispered. I didn't want to break this moment. He lowered his head and gave me a kiss on the cheek. When he removed his lips, I still could feel them hanging there. I didn't know he had such impact on me, but I didn't mind.

Old feelings never went away, and now, they are coming back. But I don't have time for them. I don't have time for anything. School is going by, and I don't know how, but I am going to pass. It is what dad wanted. And I would do anything to get him back, but I can't turn back the time.

The day was amazing. After a while, I finally knew how to skate myself, and we had so much fun. I should do this more often. I missed this. I missed Elliot. And I am glad I finally have him back.

Now I just hope he didn't kill my dad.

More a filler chapter with Elliot and Chloe. Yeaah :)
